My dream was that I was riding my friend's (Kassandra) dapple gray horse. I was having fun riding the horse. Kassandra comes from a family that is the friend of my uncle's and my uncle brings them to our family dinners. I went inside the house, which reminded me of my friend Tailer's house, except it had a big yard with grape vines and stuff and looked different inside. I went to the living room, where my grandma, cousin, and aunt were watching The Wizard Of Oz. It ended, and in my dream, I knew you had to put the second half of the movie in it. The Wizard Of Oz doesn't have a second half. Not that I remember. Anyhow. I went back outside and was riding the horse again and the horse went over some ant hills. Big ant hills, a little bigger than a basketball. I saw no ants, just the hills. Also, in real life, my friend has no horses. She used to. I don't remember anything being said in the dream.
Can someone please help? |

Hi Sickly Lucid, (? Why sickly?)
Dappled makes me think of sunlight filtered through trees, so you have a mixture of sun and shade, light and dark. Somehow I'm riding Kassandra's horse, her vehicle. The original Greek Cassandra was blessed by the god Apollo with the gift of prophecy, but when she didn't love him enough, he cursed her by making it so no one would believe her even though she always spoke the truth. Dappled also has me singing an old nursery song: Hush-a-bye, don't you cry, Go to sleep ye little baby, When you wake, you shall have, All of the pretty little horses... Dapples and bays, Pintos and grays, All of the pretty little horses... And bringing in the Wizard of Oz, I remember it starts out with a horse of a different color, right? Are dappled horses very common? I don't recall seeing them that often. Maybe no one has written the sequel to the Wizard of Oz, but will someday soon. Being Spring, it's the season ants keep trying to get indoors, so the idea of anthills without ants appeals to me. I sprinkled my doorways and windowsills that they were coming through with cinnamon, messy, but smells good, and they hate it. I don't poison me or the dog or even the ants that way. When it warms up outside, they'll stop trying to come in, and I can vacuum up the cinnamon. My dog Lily barks at the ants... LOL! In case you don't know it, no, I'm really not getting a sensible meaning out of all of this, but look at what I told you, and see if any of it relates to anything actually going on in your life! Usually, if I skip over a dream, it's that sort of reason... I don't have anything sensible to say about that one, or it's a boyfriend dream, and I'm too far past that teen stage to relate. I'm not just ignoring anyone. I'm off until Monday now... I try to not type on Sundays to give my hands and arms a rest and ward off Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. You all have a good day tomorrow! Quote:

Wow. I can't believe you got nothing. Everything about that dream is just bizarre. I mean, an unlikely breed of horse, The Wizard Of Oz popping out of the blue, all my uncle's family together (and friends), my uncle being the only male in my dream, and giant ant hills isn't giving you anything?

Well, just the beautiful perfection of Cassandra having a dappled horse. I will remember that image! The rest doesn't seem to fit together too well, does it? Usually that means the dreamer forgot a lot of the dream, embroidered the dream, or the imagery relates very personally to something going on in the dreamer's life, things I can't know about unless the dreamer talks about them, you see? Sorry!

I'm having a stressful time with friends and family (not Kassandra; She's perfect). I want to live with my mother, but can't because of my stepdad. My uncle (one in dream) is talking badly about my relatives. I really have no friends but Kassandra at this point. My personality is shifting. I exaggerate things, then downplay others. I'm a hypocrite. The need to be perfect in body and mind rips through me. I just have lots of worries and stress, okay? Insecurities. Did you get that from the dream?
Not to be unfriendly, but it's Kassandra, with a K. But, you're supposed to tell me what the **** is going on in my head BY the dream. Yes, I know you are not a psychologist... (I am aspiring to be one.)

No, Sweetie,
I am NOT "supposed" to tell you what's going on in your head! All *anyone* can do is offer suggestions of what your dream means TO THEM. They can't give you the kind of clear picture you are demanding, and when you become a psychologist, you won't be able to do that with the kind of certainty you desire right now either. The Greek Cassandra spelled her name with a C... I told you about her in my first post on this thread. A dappled horse perfectly fits her story. Now, perhaps you have a clue why no one else touched this dream in the first place, and generally speaking, when people are screaming "HELP ME" and such, acting demanding and entitled, being impatient when they don't get instant responses, I simply pass on their dreams. So consider the possibility that you may be coming across that way and turning people off.

LOL. I like you, too. You offended me...
And I only asked for help TWICE. Two is not a big number.

Perhaps I offended you on purpose because you offended me first? Something to think about! Go back and read what I wrote in my first post to you, and this time, spend a little time *thinking* about it! If you can't do that, no one can help you.

I like your insights. They're not solid, though. And you don't have to exclaim your sentences.
