similar dream for years....

I have had several dreams where I dreamed that I not only fell into water, but it was always in a car. Often times it was on a bridge and the road came out from under me and fell from a very high area or I drove off the road into water. I never drowned, most of the time I woke up before I hit the water, but sometimes I would actually be swimming in the water that my car fell in. All in the same dream....What does water and falling into the water in a car have to do with this repeated dream? I know about the falling bit what that means, but what does the car and the water symbolize? I usually fall into a lake or river. The water isn't treacherous, but it scares me all the same that I'm constantly falling into it. Would appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

Falling always suggests a failure to maintain some status represented in the dream. A falling car describes a failure of means or of mobility to reach some social objective or goal. Falling into water describes how you are forced to look inward for answers to your disappointments. Your dreams are not only there for answers in bad times; they occur to insure continued good times.
