identical scars and blood patterns

you'll have to forgive the way this is written...
i basically used the cut and paste method from a blog entry...

and so - it's halloween and i am in small town, u.s.a. but there are all of these upscale costume boutiques and "metaphysical" stores. i venture into a few - browsing.

there is a concert going on both halloween night and the following night - and i only have a ticket to the second night. somehow, i make my way to this backyard where everyone is hanging around and i get into the first night. oddly, the ticket that you have purchased is stamped - invisibly - with your age, and you have to have an age appropriate ticket to get a drink. as i didn't have a ticket, i borrowed one from an 89 yr. old woman. only she didn't look 89, she looked about 40. i used her ticket to get a guinness.

the band began to play and this man is bleeding from his bandaged forearm while he is performing. bleeding through the bandages. as he is holding a microphone, i help him unwrap the bandage. in the process, i notice that my forearm is also bleeding (same blood pattern, same location, same blood amount). he takes my hand, much like men do when they are going to kiss your hand, but turns my arm over, leans down and licks the blood from my arm. we then notice that on both of our non-bleeding arms, there are matching scar patterns. his are indentions and mine are raised, so they fit together like puzzle pieces. they also reminded me of a constellation.



this dream was so elaborate, so consuming, i can't come close to making this sound how it felt in my head. beautiful and strange...

i would also like to add that i have had recurring dreams regarding this same person... in one he asks "is it really you?" but this first is the one that has stuck with me the longest.

i'm basically looking for meaning as a whole, or individual components...
blood (the licking of?,) scars, the fact that they fit into one another and whatever else...

I would begin with the person in the dream. Is it someone you recognize or is there a characteristic about him that belongs to someone you know? The action could mean that this person is trying to help you so that a person you know has offered to help you with a problem that they once encountered, hence the similar patterns. Does this fit anywhere in your actual situation today?

this is definitely someone that i recognize.
i don't know... i can't really think of a situation in which i can really apply this... but, maybe i'll encounter one..?
