Russian Romance Spy Dream

Ok, I have to say that I haven't had a dream this exciting and good in a long time.

I had a dream that I wanted to go to Russia on vacation but before I went I thought it would be a good idea to have a tour guide since I would be there alone. So, I went on some dating sites and met a very handsome man named Vlad. He said that he would show me around but it was understood that that would be all we would do. Anyway, I get to Russia not having actually made plans with Vlad or telling him when I was getting there. So I decided that it was no biggie and that I could still explore.

I decided to go to the beach and while I'm there sitting in the sun (which is not like me at all... I'm usually in the water), a guy chases his stray ball to where it had landed near me. He told me that he was sorry and introduced himself as Vlad. Anyway, we put 2 and 2 together and I got up so that he could show me around. It seemed important in the dream also that he was about the same height as me and that he had very striking features (blue eyes, moptop).

I assume that a few months had passed and I was staying at his place which happened to be a very run down and small apartment with ugly furniture. I don't know when it came out in the dream, but he was a spy and somehow we had gotten involved romantically. It seemed like by this point I was a spy too. Anyway, so one day I got home from shopping maybe (looking very sharp) and I noticed that things weren't right. I looked around for Vlad and noticed a note wedged in the cushion of the couch. I woke up at that point but I have a feeling that it told me to leave and that he would find me.

I feel that it is important to mention that certain details of the dream were very imposing. Like colors... most of the the dream was set in sepia(on the beach) or cold colors (especially in the apartment where the walls were cement and the furniture was from the 70's). But certain objects stood out too, like my handbag, the color of the ball... things like that.

So, does anyone have a clue what this means?

russia is cold. i mean, do they even have beaches in russia? if they do i can see why you wouldnt want to be in the water. it isnt a tropical paradise.

so, russia could be a pun for rushing. like maybe jumping into something you arent entirely appreciative of, maybe a relationship. what do you think of dating websites? a lot of symbols are going to be directly related to your own thoughts and experiences.

does sound kind of neat. though i havent got any ideas on spy stuff.

edit: heh. sounds like varzandeh has worked for russians. hope you dont have that sort of prejudice.

No I have never worked for them.Dreams sometimes are rude, not everybody is so but dream language symbols sometimes are disgusting.


As I remember You had a dream about beans and a pool at work, But you didn't reply That DId you have a crying accident?

Thanks that sounds like the current situation that I am in right now with my employer and roommate. What helped you in your interpretation?

For all those interested, I had a continuation to this dream last night.

So, it's never said, but I am a spy (maybe one of the top ones) and Vlad is dead, it wasn't obvious but, I could tell. It also seemed that I became a spy to avenge his death... in particular this case.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of the Sahara in a tomb like structure looking frantically for an amulet before the bad guys get there. And find it just in the nick of time. But the guys (maybe 4, all heavily accented) see me and start running after me. One by one they each fall into a trap in the tomb. But one man (who seemed like the leader) is very close to me. I couldn't run much longer but a child tells (dressed in ancient Egyptian garb) me to go into a place that he was pointing out. I did, and I decided to hide the amulet so that I could loose the guy and come back to it later. If he happened to find where I was, I knew there was no chance of him finding where I put it.

So, this chamber was not much bigger than a closet and had a shelf of jars and crates... it was also pretty dark in there, so it was a good hiding spot. But the guy found me and demanded to know where the amulet was. I wouldn't tell him but decided that I was going to take it and run when his back was turned. But he saw me! He took a step towards me (we are inches from one another) and held out his hand. I looked as if I were trapped so I handed it to him (while it was still in its netted hiding spot). But all of a sudden, he started sinking. He stepped into a sand trap. As he was sinking, I took the amulet from him and made a snarky comment.

Hi Jillian,
Many dreams are dreamt for entertainment or diversion. When you feel stressed or tired, and something happens in your sleep that would wake you up, your subconscious creates a dream that take your attention and keeps you asleep.

I feel that it is important to mention that certain details of the dream were very imposing. Sleep happens at different levels of consciousness. If there is some problem in sleep, the subconscious follows it and creates a dream that keeps you asleep but keeps you near the waking level so you can be easily woken up.
Colours are there in the dream to grab your attention and bring you near to waking. It is similar to when you walk into an artgallery with white walls and there is colourful pinting hung your attention goes to the painting straightaway.
My guess is that for some reason you had to be kept near the waking level, ready to wake at short notice. That is one of the reasons you remember the dream.

dunno much about geography. this guy at work took a picture of one of our work sites in russia. it looked a lot like a field of ice. my comments are because i don't know anyone who associates russia with nice beaches.

also russian jobs end badly, because in order to work with russians you have to have a spine, or else they will intimidate you into making insane compromises and doing more work than you can afford. there are a lot of unfortunate weak people in our company who spent much of last year bowing to insane russian demands.
