finding a body dream

Hi anyone/everyone (I've never posted anything like this before so please bear with me),
I have had a recurring dream and it is quite disturbing. It really freaks me out and I hate it, hate it, hate it. It is very similar in nature each time, such as locations and several of the people involved in the dream, however several of the people also change from dream to dream.

The dream goes something like this:

My best friend and I (the bext friend changes back and forth between two of my best friends from high school/college in each dream) get caught up in some mystery surrounding the finding of a young womans remains in some secluded cave. Each time we are taken to, or somehow or another show up at, the scene of where the young woman was buried. Each time in the dream we are the prime suspects of what happened to here.

It vary's from time to time on how we get there, one time it is with a group of friends on a field trip to this secluded cave area and another time it is just my best friend from college and I and we are actually burying the body.

The one from last night was my best friend from h.s. and we are at the cave with a group on a field trip and there is a police team that has just uncovered the remains and have somehow tied the body back to my friend and I. Then I have a flashback in the dream (to 15 years prior) about the 2 of us escorting the woman from a bar where she had just been beaten by some random guy. We put her in the car and she ends up passing away. Instead of taking her to the hospital we take her to the cave and bury her. Then it flashes back to present day with the police interrogating us and drawing up a court case against us. Then the dream ends and I wake up.

Basically each dream circles around to the police suspecting us as the cause for the woman's disappearance even though we weren't the one's who actually hurt her. Somehow or another we are always the ones who end up burying her though....(wierd, I know).

The only thing I can think of is that the 2 major things going on in my life right now are a new girlfriend, which I am dating long distance and that is tough for me right now and the other thing is a newer job (2 months in the new work) and I'm pressing more and more outside of my comfort zone each day in the job.

I have had this dream about 3-4 times in the last 6 months and it also seems to appear when I have major changes going on in life. I am just trying to figure out what to think of it from here.

Any clues from anyone else would be helpful.

It almost sounds as if you are dreaming what happened or could have happened to the young woman in Aruba or a similar case which you will hear about.

Sometimes we dream of other people's stories.

If you are ever around a young woman who's been beaten, take her to the nearest emergency room. Post haste.
