Bothersome dream, about my death.

Hi, I am new here, I had a dream today that has been bothering me and i need someone to analyze it. I have always had a share of weird dreams and I used to suffer from night terrors before as a young child. However, I have never had a dream quite like this.

I slept very little last night because I had to study for a test, I finished everything and took about a 2 hour nap when I got back to my dorm.

I began to dream at first about a giant vacation resort, I went with my entire family. We were all having a good time and me and my younger brothers were exploring the large place. At some point in time, there was some sort of commotion in the dream with someone running after someone else. My dream went back to normal, I was eating at the resort and I saw someone I knew at the buffet.

What bothers me is next...I went to a place where I assume was our hotel room or something. It was more like a giant penhouse with a giant indoor pool. My grandma was sitting in a chair next to the pool with my aunt next to her. My parents and my brothers had just left. As I was standing next to my grandma, one of the guys who was running earlier shot me and ran.

I was shot and I heard my grandma tell my aunt in a casual tone: "How is Mary(my mom) going to react, this son was her joy". I had a very nice phone on my left hand and handed it to her. I was trying to think to who to leave it to, and I told her to give it to my youngest brother. At the same time, I felt guilt for not leaving anything to my other brother.

At that moment I fell back. I landed in water (the pool). I saw my own blood in front of me and my eyes were closing slowly. I was sinking down and it hit me that I was about to die. I knew I didn't have to breathe. I wasnt scared anymore, it felt peaceful and tranquil. The world passed through me and my eyes finally closed. There was darkness and I told myself I was dead. At that point, I managed to open my eyes literally.

I was expecting some sort of afterworld, but I was back in my dorm room, just woken from a wierd dream.

It's been bothering me all day. I need someone to interpret it for me.

a grandmother is about a reminder of the past. maybe someone mentioned your past failures the other day. the pool, i'm not real sure, i think it is about trying to adapt. looking for alternatives.

if it is about your schoolwork, then telling yourself i'm dead could be about that. feeling like you were vacationing and then couldnt adapt in time.

kinda tired right now, probably missed something. you could try to link the feelings in the dream to people and feelings you had the other day.
