Default Dreaming of deceased father serving drinks

This dream seemed very strange to me. First let me start by saying that my father passed away 2 years ago from brain cancer. We had begun to become closer before he was diagnosed. I believe I dreamnt of him because I had a stressful presentation at school, which I thought he could have helped me with; I'm studying restaurant management and he was a chef.

In the dream I wake up and we're in the living room of one of the houses we lived in as a child. I walk to the kitchen and my mom is cleaning, but it's a kitchen I've never been in before. A friend I rarely see is there and we're all in our pjs. My father appears and he's holding a tray of fresh fruit drinks that he made. He's made these in different flavors. They are refreshing. I offer one to my friend and he says he had one earlier. Then I have to connect my mom to a dialysis machine(she is on dialysis in real life), she finds out that she might have the same kind of cancer my father had. I'm not sure how a dialysis machine would say this, but it was a dream. My father is standing by, but he doesn't really say anything. He rarely appears in my dreams and when he does we all know that it's strange because he's dead, but we want him around so we don't mention it.

Hello dreamingoften,

You may already know what this dream suggests. You are concerned about the health of your mother and the possibility of her passing (cancer imagery). Your father's appearance was very likely a true after-death-contact with your father. He probably appeared to you as reassurance that life does not end at death. Rather than a foreboding omen, cancer dream imagery is merely a representation of the inevitability of death that we all will most assurdly experience some day--but not today. I hope this helps.

Hi,
if a deceased person offered you something means blessings and benefits.
Fruit drinks may mean money or kind of science you will learn soon in around two months.

Good luck.

Well I study dreams. I tend to see them as expressions of our real life thoughts. Just try to lookat the dream simply. It doesn't go very well. You want things to happen yet in relaity its quite a negative slow dream. It probably just links to this type of thought... "I want this presentation to go well. But its difficult I want to try to be freindly and welcoming yet really what is needed is something real with good content."

With a presentation you have two types of strategies... a friendly approach ... symbolized by offering drinks... then you need real life practical content... maybe symbolic of your mom on dialysis

Maybe you are concentrating on the friendly side to your presentation... jokes...

------------------------

If people truly knew the meaning of their dreams they would be quite surprised. Many have helped perpetuate the myth that dreams are really deep and meaningful. True some are but the majority of dreams are simply part of our brain functions. They help us clarify everyday issues. These are very important at the time but
are far from being crucial in the overall scheme of things. Freud and others talk of the deeper dreams. But that is only because of their interest in psychology. They also speak of lots of other dreams that are insignificant and just linked to the previous day. But these dreams are interesting in themselves. They too show how the brain works. So simple dreams with meanings like "I need to spend more time on my studies" are important. If we can understand the simple dreams we can apply knowledge gained to solve the more trickier dreams.
