So I doubt anyone will be able to shed some on light on this for me but I figured its worth a shot because maybe someone can.
In my adolescent years I would occasionally get into a fight in my dreams (maybe once a month). I always held back I never hit someone with any kind of force in my dreams it was like I was trying to punch while under water. This continued from my preteen years up to when I was about 17-18 when I stopped having dreams all together (and I might add I was fine with that). Until recently (late 20's) my dreams started coming back and just the other night I got into a fight in one of my dreams and it was nothing like my old dreams I hurt him the way I could in real life. What has me so confused is that I'm not an aggressive person I never fight because I know I can work it out with words and I never hold a grudge because life is too short to waste hating people. The only thing I can think of for why I never hurt anyone in my younger dreams is because I have always been sympathetic towards society but recently it seems I've been running into dumber and dumber people and maybe I'm losing the sympathy I once had and that's why I didn't hesitate to hurt someone in a recent dream. That last sentence is only an assumption I'm no psychologist I'm a Mechanic so what I suggest may be far from what it is. If anyone can offer an opinion it would be appreciated even if all you say is I answered it myself. Thanks in advance. |

I don't think your dream has anything to do with malice toward a person(s), but rather it expresses some kind of worry or problem in your life. Things are kinda bleak in the world right now and everyone seems a bit worried. I would guess that your dreams are more intense now as an adult because problems and worries can seem much more overwhelming than as a teenager with parents there (not to mention things aren't looking as great as ten years ago). Plus it seems that your dream is suggesting that you have to take action rather than holding back. The dream could also mean that you are winning over a struggle in life. These are just my thoughts; doesn't mean I'm right though.
Personally, I LOVE having fighting dreams (I have them a lot). When I have these dreams I'm always the one who comes out on top by beating whoever comes in my way. These dreams give me the confidence that I can win and overcome in life no matter what I'm facing. These are big boost when I'm feeling down. |

I am guessing you are a guy? I get that your testosterone levels are higher now.
You are grown. |
