strange often changing car dream

I have had this dream on and off since I was a child.
When I was a child It would be me in the backseat of my grandmother's car with my cousin. We would be waiting for her and then the car would start rolling backwards. There was no way to control the car and often my cousin would make it worse by moving around or bouncing.
That dream happened through out most of my childhood years.
In my teen years the car would be going forward, however I still was unable to control it, despite my best efforts. I am alone in these dreams.
Now in my 20s I am able to get into the driver's seat. There are huge hills and although I have the steering wheel in my hands I have a lot of trouble controlling the car.
Often I have to climb from the backseat to the front, and sometimes once I have controlled the car I end up in the passenger's seat without control again.
There dreams have been going on for a long time, and even made me hesitate to get my licence when I was a teenager!
I once went to a fortune teller and she told me that there was disaster in a car in my life also. This was years after the dreams had begun!

What could all of this mean???
