At war with mum.

I dream of my mum often. It's never a pleasant dream. We're either quarelling, having a face-off, not in good terms or generally moody, sad and unhappy. This is however how not it is in reality. I also see her in perfect terms with my elder brother in dreams, often both taking sides against me. I'm never happy seeing her in my dreams. What could be the underlying factor responsible for this?

How is your relationship with your mum? Dreams often use contradictions and surprises as waking elements. If you have a good rapport with your mum your subconscious might use an argument or a face off to wake youup near morning. It grabs your attention and engages the brain.
Perhaps the dream indicates that you're a bit jellous of your brother getting some attention from your mother.
These are waking dreams.

Well its maybe a good sign in that case. It maybe shows that you are able to resolve bad feelings and situations without losing the bond you have. That you recognise that she maybe is against something ... or that you feel you have let her down...

Dreams do portray our own emotions and these are quite complex. Thats why its not easy to understand dreams... they will capture feelings such as "I wonder if she really wants me to that?"
