My wife had a horrible dream that she told me about. She was back in her twenties and at a college frat party. There were two custodians, one was mentally challenged and the other one was not. Then, the fraternity put both men into a boiling pot of water and boiled them alive until they died. She told me that she could even smell their flesh boiling. Next, they took them out of the pots and set them in chairs, cracked their heads open so that their brains would ooze out, and dared people to sit between them. My wife went on to say that she was so horrified that she ran away as fast as she could. The she felt a hand on her back and it was a former co-worker. He then pointed to her right and standing there was her ex-boyfriend. Finally, her ex led her out of danger.

hey smitty,
dreams of people you know are harder to understand. they have personalities that your subconscious can relate to symbolically. boiling water might be about putting a lot of pressure on something. some idea. mentally challenged guy could just represent a challenge. could be your wife is putting too much pressure on herself to figure something out. the hand on her back could be about getting moral support. her ex boyfriend is maybe emotional support. something from the past she turns to. the frat party atmosphere could mean something shouldnt be taken so seriously. |

Well I would agree with that "Dreams about people you know are hard to understand"
The people we know generate lots of dreams. They maybe about yesterday... last week.. whats on your mind about today... you know the person inside out and you are trying to second guess their every thought. Understanding dreams is difficult. Its difficult trying to know if dream is a premonition or simply thoughts floating about your head... often its possible to make a case for everything ------------------------------- http://www.unclsirbobby.org.uk/dreambooksnake.php Real dreams understood Last edited by unclesirbobbyrobson : 02-17-2009 at 07:25 PM. |

I agree with you, its harder to figure out somebody else's dream. Usually she doesn't remember her dreams, but I know this one really put a scare into her. I do know that being with he for over 20 years that if something bothers her that she will usually talk it into the ground. On the other hand, I would rather fix it and be done with it. Also, she's more emotional than what I am.
She had gotten into an agruement with someone a few days before that. In fact, she was still talking about it yesterday. I think that may have had something to do with her dream. |

Well you mention this argument. Dreams can symbolise your feelings. Inn this case the most interesting part is about the mentally challenged. Did she feel this
"Its difficult to argue with someone when they are too stupid to understand" Did she feel if the person arguing with her was mentally challenged or a bit like someone mentally challenged ----------------- Dream dictionary symbols - How to analyse and interpret dreams I do not know what your dream means and cannot. Dreams are very personal. Try my dream dictionary as it is specially designed for you to help people see what has triggered a dream. |

Your wife's dream explores the notion of a combination of a couple of things.
First of all she wishes to know what in tarnation makes a paticular male authority figure in her life tick? It goes further to suggest that she does not understand his or (their) mentality, but she would like to somehow understand how it is that they became the person that they are. sailrmc |
