I have had a recurring dream for the last 2 1/2 years!!!

I keep having a dream about a former boss. He was an ass...albeit an attractive one. He knew it too!!! I dreamt that we were passionate lovers??? I keep dreaming that he is trying to contact me to tell me he wants to be with me, but he cannot speak however. I wake up frustrated at this. Does this mean that I really want to be with him? Out of the blue..a month ago, he sent me an email (odd: from his workplace) asking about me and my family. Wondering how I was etc. He is in a different city, but we're in the same state. Honest opinions please.

The subconscious mind is so very aware, because it is not encumberd with the difficult tasks of commanding the body to act. As well it does not does not have to make decisions of waking hours. It has apparently picked up on your former bosses attraction to you...or perhaps noticed his noticing that you noticed him. Are you with me? Your subconscious mind allowed you to be aware of your own attraction... Hence the recurring dreams.

I think this dream might be trying to warn you about something undesirable from your past, which was controlling/had authority over you (your boss symbol) but which you have since gotten free from (ie. "former" boss) that could be attempting to seduce you back again (ie. "passionate lovers" "trying to contact me" etc.) Don't know if you've been thinking of returning to some previous time/place/way of life, but just my thoughts, for what it's worth. Have a great day!

He was an ass...albeit an attractive one.

As he was your boss, he would have percieved your opinion of him. If he wanted to get off with you he had the opportunity and I'm sure you would have said yes. You had fallen for him. That is the main reason your dreams reoccur.

My guess is that he was interested in your welfare.
