Alright, last night I dreamt that I was peering into some sort of garden closed off by a gate, and the place where I was standing was weedy. As soon as I turned back to leave I noticed a long greenish rattle-snake (it didn't really look like a rattle-snake but I somehow knew it was one) slide over my right foot. I was glad that it didn't take notice of me and I started to tiptoe away. That's when it turned around and started hunting me down. It had this big head with beady eyes and I could tell that it was intent on biting me. I started backing away and felt scared because I knew that in the end it was going to catch me. The snake ended up biting me on the right arm just above my wrist and then left. There were fang and cut marks and I could feel the bite hurt. Right after I knew I needed to get to a hospital but somehow got preoccupied and didn't get to one although it was on my mind. I was surprised that the bite didn't cause much damage and that I was perfectly fine without visiting a hospital. Can someone please tell me what this dream might mean? Any sort of help would be appreciated...

Hello Ayla_x,
Your dream may suggest the consequence of breaching certain social boundries (peering over gate imagery). One consequence may involve having to fend off the perception of engaging in insidious (snake imagery) social behaviors. I hope this helps.

i tend to think dreams with outdoor settings like this are about relationships and how you're viewing them right now. the snake could be about your level of involvement based on how much you know, or what you've seen.

very interesting interpretations, and weiss, i think that what you are saying really makes sense, especially at this point in my life, however, what about the bite? I percieved the snake itself as dangerous...

When you feel pain in a dream, it means that some part of your body is hurting. Your dream indicates that you had some pain in your arm while you slept and needed to move it to ease the pain. If you read through the text of the dream you will see that the dream is trying to turn you round in bed:"As soon as I turned back to leave" and "That's when it turned around" After the snake bit you in the dream you actually turned over in bed and moved your arm. The pain eased off: Quote:

A snake could mean a transformation and being bitten could be the struggle with a transformation. I was always told by my grandmother that in dreams snakes were enemies
