Motorcycle dream

Hello all,

This is my first post here and please do bare with me. This is about a dream I had on the wee hours of 31st December 2008.

In the dream, I was sitting on top of a parked classic motorcycle and wearing a black jacket (which neither of the two, that I own) .Then when I looked to the back of me, came a Chinese girl in her 20s, shoulder length hair, wearing a black dress and carrying a full black knapsack. I thought to myself in the dream, "Oh, she's from one of my group of friends".

Suddenly, she jumped on the tank of the motorbike, sat on it facing me. She hugged me tightly and whilst crying said, " I really, really love you 'MY NAME'". I asked her back, " Why didn't you tell me?". She replied, "I didn't know how to". Then I continued, "Well ok then, we'll see how things go. I started the bike while she was still on top of the tank (meaning her face was facing backwards to the direction I was riding). Odd positioning, I know.

This image faded and we all of a sudden were transported to a big white building, which seemed like a car showroom. I was now carrying a baby which was crying. The baby wasn't ours, as I told myself in the dream. It was dark skinned. Whilst still crying, the girl took the baby from my arms and said "That's not the way to do it" and when she carried the baby, it stopped crying. The dream just ended like that. But I somehow knew this dream was different and most of the time, my dreams manifest into real life.

To make things dramatic, on the eve of 2009, my friends and I went to party. I was introduced to one girl. I didn't pay any attention initially, but I noticed she was trying to get close to me so we could have a conversation, which we did. We exchange numbers and I thought that was that.

When I went back home, as I was thinking back, I realized the girl I just met very much resembled the girl in my dreams I had merely 18 hours ago. She had shoulder length hair and the top she wore was exactly like the girl wore in the dream (except the dream was a dress and the real girl wore blue jeans). The funny thing is at the party, I also wore a black shirt and blue jeans, which matched her colors too. Oh yes, she was also Chinese. To add to the drama, my friend who introduced me to this girl works with a car manufacturer, which correlated to the white building in my dream. Wow, I said to myself.

Anyways, I would really appreciate anyone's comment on the meaning of the dream before going too deep into pursuing the girl. Thanks!

Well we can trace this dream to the girl that you know. In some way this dream represents your own real life thoughts... that could be anything though. But I could suggest ways in which the dream captures reality

It could have a been a fantasy dream... you trying to think through how to talk to her ... in real life the dream features a motor cycle.. thats fast moving ... just like parties... any mistake and you don't get the girl... any error on a motorbike and you fall off.

Hi there,

Thanks very much for your reply. Just to remind you though, I met the girl after the dream. Prior to the dream, I had a major breakup with a girlfriend of 9 years. I practiced meditation and found that it helped me greatly, it just took me a couple of weeks to pull myself together.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with visualizations while meditating. There are methods whereby you visualize someone as your dream partner. Well, to cut things short, I visualized this dream partner in my meditations. So the dream and what followed through in real life seemed to correlate quite precisely.

You are also correct somehow of me trying to talk to her. But the girl is actually a very close friend of my friend and I don't think the motorbike seems to be a "dangerous factor". More likely I think, is an adventure that I am on and she openly accepts to follow whatever that I decide to do.
