Possessed By Demon

Hello,
I am trying to find some help on explaining a dream I had last night. I had a dream that I was possessed by a demon. It was extremely frighting and felt very real. In the dream I was speaking in a strange language. Come to find out the next day when I woke up my girlfriend said that she herd me speaking in some crazy language in my sleep. During the dream I went to my mothers house for help and after my body was tossed around the room by the demon, my mother grabbed me holding me in front of a mirror where the demon then left my body and was trapped inside. Is there any significance to this dream? Why so real feeling and why did my girlfriend hear what I was saying. Even thought I have to clue as to what it was.

Relax, dream daemons are realy friendly,cuddly creatures.
If you sleep with your girlfriend you probably went to sleep in an embrace, or you were sleeping in an uncomfortable position. Many people talk in their sleep, especially when they lie on their back.
If you are very much in love with your girlfriend, that can couse very restless dreams.

Eh not everything in everyones dream is exactly furry and cuddly. You have a pretty fortunate dreamworld.

Protip: A lot of mythology and fiction claims that demons often use mirrors as portals. There is an old tradition of covering mirrors in funeral homes when bodies are present so that nothing will be "trapped" in the mirror.

Alternatively they say mirrors are a good way to pull things out from other realms. So since that is often in bits of fiction I figure there could have been a decent chance that you picked that up and it occurred in your dream.

I can't really answer your questions except share my experience with you.

I know what you mean by it feeling so very real. I had a dream this night (not even 40 min ago) and I was dreaming that my sister and I were pretending that I was possessed and we were in search of the source of demonic energy in the house for pretend, in my childhood bedroom, suddenly I was aware that my actions were inhuman and I was not in control of them. (My head was moving in a shaking motion at a very rapid rate and my hands were shaking and held like claws though they were still my hands) and I began to make a gargling growling noise while all this was happening (in my dreams not sure if I made that noise aloud) and then I began digging furiously at the ceiling like a dog scratching, I got through it and tore this letter from it and shredded it, the only thing left on the paper was one word "me" and I keep repeating the word and handed it to my sister saying me in a very unaudible tone. She shook me out of it and told me it was too scary and to stop pretending, I didn't tell her I wasn't at that point cause I only just realized it myself.

Once I woke up (more things happened but not a lot and I wasn't possessed anymore, rather than just scared in my own dream) I was really scared. Different than other dreams that scare me, my boyfriend was next to me and comforting me, and yet I remember the desires of the "possession" though in the dream I was unaware of this urge, but once awake I knew that if I had stayed possessed I would have wanted to shred and kill my sister, and my boyfriend told me to hold him and I had a sudden thought tell me to bite his neck and claw his face, which scared the crap out of me, like why would I have this thought, its not mine.

Though it was a dream, I had remnants of how it felt and I will never mess with things (not that I did before) like that again. Here I sit now, not being able to sleep cause I was really frightened just by the unnaturalness/animal like being I just was in my dream.
