Default Killing A Deer.

Hello. I'm new here, and I'm really curious as to what this could mean.
Help?

I've had this dream twice already, last night being the second time.
It's a very unsettling dream; the first time I had it, I was too freaked out by it to get out of bed right away.

I was in the middle of a dead forest. I was standing on top of a dying deer (I have no idea what it was dying from, I just have a feeling I did it), and I started to crush its ribs. It took forever, but it ended up dying-- in the dream, I feel good for a moment, like I did the right thing, put it out of its misery. But then instead of just walking away, I start to kick it, shake it by its antler things, and punch it.
I've had many far more violent dreams in the past, but this one really gets to me. any interpretations?

The scene suggests that in your own mind you could see yourself acting upon grounds of reasoning in which the available knowledge (trees) – especially spiritual knowledge – has no life in it. The knowledge does not reflect that of the Living God. A forest would usually imply not seeing the forest for the trees, i.e. being so preoccupied with what is directly in front of you that you cannot see the greater picture. Yet here what is in front of you are dead trees.

The deer represents an emotional aspect of yourself – one that can relate with feelings of being a dear, being very nice, sweet, kind. You seem aware of the fact that this is an aspect of your nature that you are responsible for eliminating. (a dying deer .. have a feeling I did it) Standing on top of the deer implies seeing yourself in control of a feeling pertaining to being a dear – when it is a dying feeling.

Crushing the deer’s ribs would imply stomping on or walking all over your own inner most nature in the effort to eliminate the aspect of yourself that makes you endearing to others. Yet here this seems like the right thing to do. Kicking it, shaking it and punching it would imply that your actions regarding this aspect of yourself could be seen as a good or godly act. [This could be so if you were too intent upon being a dear and not objecting to being used by others – not standing up for yourself. In such a case, this emotional aspect of yourself would not be working in your best interests.]

The violence towards a dying and dead deer might also be seen in relation to the idea of beating upon a dead horse, i.e. try to convince people to do or feel something without any hope of succeeding. (used when trying to raise interest in an issue that no-one supports anymore) [On a physical level of interpretation could the deer represent someone whose endearing nature you find objectionable. Mother perhaps, who is the source of your emotional nature?
