What does it mean when I dream of a dryad ( a oak tree nymphs in Greek mythology). One that is the focal point of the dream. She is also very twisted and is barren of all leaves.

Not much to go on here but it does appear as if it refers to trouble within the family. The family or particular person who is represented by the dryad is at a standstill, and ailing from lack of personal growth and is most probably in a state of trauma or anxiety.
Think of someone who is closely related who may fit this description and apply the rest of the symbols of the dream and it should tell you more... sailrmc |

One which taps in to the myths within your own life... the dramatic ideas which you hold about your self... perhaps exxagerated ideas about how life should be. A nympth... maybe linking to sexuality... the myths and stories in popular consciousness. You are thinking about how women are expected to behave... what is expected of you. Its a dream about femininity ... how other people see women... pressure to fit into this... thoughts and reflections on other women and how they behave
