rats, centipedes, squirrels

last night i had this dream where my pet rats were continuously escaping from their cage, and i was struggling to arrange the wired top part (as opposed to the solid plastic bottom) so that they wouldn't get out, but they kept escaping. i opened the door to the cage and looked inside, to find first baby squirrels of varying sizes and then a mother squirrel. i thought the baby squirrels were rats until i saw the mother. all of the squirrels had very sparse tails, i remember wondering if they were sick. at this point, one of the rats told me that the squirrels were taking them to a waterfall. the rat didn't speak out loud, it was more like i was hearing her inside my head. i reached my hand out and put it flat in front of what i thought was the smallest of the baby squirrels, but just as it was crawling onto my hand i realized it was a baby centipede, and pulled my hand away. a few inches behind the the baby centipede was a considerably larger centipede, i think it's mother. i'm a little fuzzy about this part, but i think at this point i picked up one of the other baby squirrels, which seemed to be almost fully grown but it's eyes were still shut. midway through picking up the squirrel i either woke up, or stopped remembering.


i'm think there's a great deal of significance in this dream, but i don't know what it is. heeelp?
