Default killing a lion

If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. I prefer some Christen counsel and if some one could be my Danielle and help me interpret this dream...it would mean a lot to me.

When I was a young child I had this dream that has never left me. It started of with me behind a fence and I was looking at my family how was under a tree. I started running for them but when I did, they started running for another tree (not on to get away from me, just by chance). I had reached the first tree that they were at but now they were at there second tree. I was on one side of a beaten path and my family was on the other side. I was trying to catch-up with them but was hiding in some bushes. Before I made a run for it a pack of lions walked on the beaten path. It was the most vivid dream ever, I could smell the lions. I've never smelt a lion before, but I could pick that smell out again if I had to. I waited until I thought the lions were past me to run to my family. Halfway across the path I felt something looking at me. I turned and it was one of the lions. We caught eyes and the lion started running towards me. I knew if I ran the lion would chase me down from behind, so I said a little prayer for Gods help and about that time the lion jumped at me. In a knee-jerk reaction, I put my hands up and the lion’s chest ran into my hands that somehow had a knife (dagger) in it. The lion fell over and I saw it was dead. My family came back running towards me and they all started giving me praise. I knew deep down in my heart that I had done nothing to deserve the praise so I told them that it was not me but God how did this. I told them that I had said a prayer for Gods protection and he gave me dagger that I had not seen before.

This dream has bean with me ever cense I was a young boy. I am now 30yrs old and find my self asking for Gods forgiveness and protection. I recently just lost my job and am fearful that this might be “lion”, but this time I don’t know how to handle it, but again though prayer. If anyone knows how to interpret this dream please help me out. Thanks for your help and God bless.

Mitch

Well, here's my two cents.

Faith + Your actions = Sucess

In your dream, you seem to have discounted the value of your own actions. But, you did well. You put your hands up. You held the dagger. Perhaps most importantly, you faced your problem head on. That's a lot for a young boy. You really do deserve some of the praise for doing your part.

If this latest crisis in your life is indeed the lion, you should take the same approach. God helps those who help themselves.

hi mitch

I am not particularly religious. But I respect your faith. Dreams go right inside your heart and soul. They capture the feelings that you dare not speak out loud.

Losing your job makes you doubt your self. But think of it as a way to test your faith and grow stronger. We all have to reach down to the deepest parts to get the courage to confront problems that we did not expect.

Losing your faith will never be the way to go.

unclesirbobbyrobson,

You are so right! I should not only be looking at this (losing my job) as a "-" but a "+"! what a great chance to really practice true faith.

I dont know where my next paycheck is going to come from and I only have about a month-and-a-half to find a job that pays what i need to, to survive. I am going to start to look at what an awesome God I serve, at work in my own life. I cant wait to write you back very soon and let you know what happens! I'll keep you posted....promise! Thank you so much for your reply unclesirbobbyrobson.

I know your not a "particularly religious" person, but if you would not mind praying for me I would greatly appreciate it. ill be praying for you as well my friend!
