The queen and the princesses

In my dream I am clothed in a white robe and chasing my little sister Arella (And in reality she doesn’t exist FYI I have no sister) anyway she and I are laughing and we are running on the balcony of this really elegant palace. At the very top there are many women sunbathing, lying on their stomachs stark naked. Arella runs to a woman who apparently is the queen and says; “Mommy!” The woman is very beautiful with long black hair and bright blue eyes, looking nothing like my real mother. Our mother dresses and hugs us both very tight and I feel so safe as she goes; “My girls! Oh, you know how much it joys me to see you two!” and she continues to embrace us tightly and kisses our heads before she falls back asleep and I wake up. Any thoughts?

I'm jus making a stab in the dark here. If I'm right, or WAY off base, please let me know!
How's your relationship with your mom? Does she offer you approval when you need it? Perhaps you are ready to go out on your own, but your mom may still see you as a child? SHe hugs you and your "sister," who is still a child in the dream. SHe loves to see you "both" this way. She knows you're older, but still sees you as a child.
Being on a balcony would make you more visible to others. DO you long to be noticed? A palace suugests wealth. Are your goals within your reach?
Is your "sister's" name closely related to your name? It seems like that name was very clear in your dream.

Thanks, that helped. My mom and I get along mostly but she really sees me as a helpless child. I'm 17, almost ready for college next year and she's terrifide of me going. As for my "sister" well Arella was a character I created for a story I'm writting and also what I plan to one day name my future child if it is a girl. The mother in this dream was like the mom from that story too, and as for the balcony, I really hate attention.

I'm a mom myself, my oldest isn't near college age yet....but it is very hard to see her grow up!! I can understand your mom's apprehension about letting you go...you're obviously an intelligent young lady, but you're still her "baby" in her heart.
