I am interested to know how others interpret this dream that I had in the early morning just prior to waking in the day. It took place outside of my home near an old tree. There was a crow and I had a slight feeling as though the crow was representative of me, but somehow I was looking on at this scene. Some sort of beast approached the crow and opened its rather toothy mouth in an effort to devour the crow (that might have been me?) For some reason there was blackness, I felt like it was from me tensing up expecting the worst (my crow being devoured by a best) and then when I looked on again, the crow had some bread in its beak and placed the bread in the beast's mouth and . . . end scene. that is all and that was rather perplexing. . . and gave me some relief and maybe some triumph as well.
I know that there are many interpretations of crow that vary significantly, so I would really enjoy hearing what anyone had to say. |

Hi,
Crow is interpreted as a perjury and corrupt person. If one dreamt had a crow means he will sit with such a man.If dreamt hunted a crow means he will deceive people to take their money. If dreamt a crow sat on a tree and croaked, means he will have troubles in a travel

Giving bread to someone cruel means helping him or doing him a favor.

If you think the crow is you, then it probably is. I think anyone that knows the dreamer has a huge leg up on interpreting the dream. Symbols can mean different things to different people.
If you are the crow, I would say you feel you are in some sort of situation that is going badly = the beast which is about to devour you. However, you seemed to have found a clever solution to your problem = giving the beast some bread. |

I have heard that crows and birds can represent people who have died. I had a very similar dream of a crow sitting out side my house watching over the house, it was always there whenever I left or came home. I left like maybe the bird represented my grandfather who died afew years before.
Hope that may help?- I'm no expert haha. |

It seems that you are interested in interpreting dreams, especially your own. Your own subconscious picked up on this and uses your beliefs to create your dreams. The dream is simply a waking dream. It gradually engages your brain with the ideas and scenes and it wakes you up. Cheers Wolfjk

This is how I interpreted my dream about the crow, although I am not sure because I am new to dream interpretation, but since it was suggested by another on this board, I took things from my life to personalize it and that is how I am interpreting. I decided that the crow represented my power to manifest and things I have been working on in my life. When a crow shows up, shamans have interpreted that as meaning that something that you have been working on manifesting is about to come about, at least that is one possible meaning. It just so happens that three crows showed up in front of my big tree by my house the day before I had this dream and so I looked up in one of my totem animal books what that may mean.
I decided that the beast represented my fear and that my fear has in the past or continues to threaten to devour my ability to make my dreams (no pun intended) come true and threatens my power. I was afraid in my dream and saw this as a bad sign, but then when I witnessed the crow (possibly me) not get eaten, but rather give the beast some bread, I thought maybe I was cleverly quelling the fear and maintaining my power. My second thought, was that maybe I was feeding my fear? I was not sure, because when I awoke I had mixed emotions. Definitely a message in this dream though and something to think about. Thanks for everyones replies. Very helpful. |
