Macabre People in a Play Like Setting

I am asked to play guitar in a competion, in a duo. My partner is a drummer. I have several guitars with me including a Fender Bullet, but no Stratocaster (my usual guitar). None of them are playable and I am sorely unprepared. So I forfeit.

There are a group of people painting something and I keep getting in the way and dropping things in them. There is a large painting of Jimi Hendrix on the floor and I trod upon it carefully. Some girl tells me to 'hang on to my wants and be patient', something like that. She gives me little boxes to put my feet up on. She also gives me cheese and raspberries, though we can't find the raspberries.

The people are all dressed in odd clothing, some like swashbucklers. It is like they are wearing halloween costumes. I leave the place and there are more oddly dressed people outside looking to get in. I tell them to call and ask to be let it, the doors are locked. There is one called Casablanca that I don't see, only hear him. I ignore him because he scares me. The whole setting seems wierd and dangerous.

Any ideas about this dream are appreciated. I'm new at dream interpretation.
