Default Mass Suicide at Office

I'm guessing this probably has to do with the economy and probability of layoffs, but the dream was pretty strange and I remembered it vividly, so here it is.

I dreamed I went into work one morning and rode the elevator to the top floor. In real life I work on the 4th of 5 floors, but in the dream I rode to the top and the building was much taller than in real life. I looked out the window and saw two lines of people (running parallel to each other).

Two people would step forward on a ledge, stick both of their arms out, close their eyes, look upward, and then jump off the ledge (thus, committing suicide).

Most of the people I didn't know. I did see a guy I don't get along with and watched him commit suicide. Then, I saw one of my friends at the office move to the ledge and begin to commit suicide. I ran outside and yelled, "NO!!!!!" but it was too late and he jumped.

Then I woke up. I believe that this is just a dream about layoffs, but does anyone have any other ideas?

Take care,

Well yes I would guess that this would link to that. But the best way to check this is to think back to yesterday and in recent times. Has this issue been lurking at the back of your mind? Were you thinking that it really could get worse? Did something strike you particularly the day before? Something personalsuch as a reletaive suffering arder times.

-----------------
Dreams can be used to solve problems and create new ideas. Often a dream will link directly to the previous day. Try to spot issues which cause dreams. If you have been involved in thinking through some creative ideas then you will often dream about them that night. Try to spot them. That essay that has been filling your mind? That philiosophical subject on your mind? The dream is like a little play showing how you are motivated and thinking about this issue.

I think the dream is your work environment then the subconscious may be suggesting that you are actually due for promotion (moving up) but the flip side of that is that, it may be a job that is killing you emotionally (2 in numerology). Do you percieve (Window) that people are being automated and forced to do things that are soul supressing or not life enhancing?

Holy cow. You are diffidently right on there. I mean, I'm not trying to complain or anything because I do make decent money and I am able live comfortably because of the job. That said it is your typical corporate gig where you work about 2 hours a week and then deal with unbelievable boredom for the remaining 38 hours. Sometimes, you have to go to boring meetings and listen to people who have mastered speaking many words and not actually saying anything at the same time.

Again, I'm lucky that I am able to live a comfortable life. But the job is a soul crusher, no question. In fact, if I didn't have some of the best coworkers in the world, I would seriously be looking for something else. The people there make it bearable and they are great.

Thanks Druid, great stuff.

ha ha ha that sounds like a DREAM job to me!
There is a pun on the word "mass" which suggests the ability to lead a crowd.....who knows, maybe you should be thinking of being your own boss.!
