Apathy amidst destruction

I got ahold of these forums via a google search after becoming more interested in my own dreams after posting about them elsewhere.

I don't sleep all that much, but when I do, I've gotten some dreams with reoccuring themes. It's almost like I'm in a high up little slip of space that doesn't actually exist in the area I'm witnessing, watching a world be destroyed in several ways. The means of destruction are often different, and no two worlds have ever looked the same to me, but the dreams are always following that basic pattern. And as I watch the carnage I notice I'm completely apathetic to it. It looks mildly interesting and I feel compelled to watch as there's nothing else happening, yet I don't really care.

It does disturb me a little. Your thoughts/interpretations?

Well dreams do not depict a reality ... factually... but they do show reality AS IT EXISTS IN EMOTIONS. Emotionally people around us are in real turmoil perhaps and therefor you maybe show little no interest in the problems of those around you... or the over reactions of others

Try to link the dream to the previous day. Thats particularly important in generating dreams.

Dreams compare one thing to another. So do not be surprised if a dream about one thing turns out to be a dream about something entirely different. In fact you should expect a dream to be about something entirely different. After all a dream compares one thing to another. You would not expect a poem to use a line like "that beautiful sunrise was like a beautiful sunrise". Such a poem would clearly be ridiculous. A dream will use a metaphor to express its feelings.
