Question Reckless Speeding and a Snake devouring a Raccoon

Hello all! N00b here!

I had a very interesting dream last night albeit short and lacking details... but I am seeking interpretation of it.

In this dream, I am driving a motorcycle, quite fast and recklessly. For most of the dream I have an awareness of a female passenger in the back (I am female, by the way, and have never driven a motorcycle) I would come around corners too fast and nearly crashed several times. I came to a T in the road and I went through the intersection nearly hitting the brick wall I was facing, but barely pulling it to the right in time to parallel it. I apologized to my friend for driving so carelessly and I don't know if my passenger left at that time or not.... I have no awareness of her in this second part of my dream but a faint awareness of another biker behind me to the left but not a strong awareness that anyone is there... and I am not sure who it is. I was now driving fast but more cautiously down a small residential road in the late evening where there were many mature oak trees... suddenly a very large snake raced up on my right side and wrapped himself around a raccoon that was crossing my path. I tried to get past the snake but was afraid and acting cautiously... the snake began to devour the raccoon and shortly thereafter I awoke.

I am puzzled by this dream because I feel it is significant to my life right now... but I am not sure what all of these symbols mean to me!

DRIVING FAST : wanting to get things done very quickly. Impatience
SNAKE: awareness of problems which are a real threat... complaints, jealousies

Well many dreams show your current state of mind either generally or towards one specific issue... Think back to yesterday. It may link to thoughts then or about how you are relating to some problem right now. I think this dream captures this kind of thought

"I always want to move fast and get things done quickly. I am aware of the problems. But I know I shouldn't push things too much. Thats just one risk too many"

Only you might know how this phrase relates to your life.

------------------------
When you get a dream first try to see it in simple ways. In a very simplified version think if the dream is good or bad. If you feel good in the dream and things are going well then just sum up that portion of the dream as "feeling good". Then try to see where you are feeling good in life. Is there some relationship that is making you feel good? Is there some situation that cheered you up yesterday? Are you generally feeling good right now? Such simple clues are the easiest ones to trace. So instead of getting caught up in the details of the dream first take an overview. Many dreams work through changes in our feelings and will describe ways in which our emotions transformed. So first reduce your dream to a simple list of emotions such as "I felt good and was optomistic", "I was confused" and "I felt frustrated". The basic details of the dream may involve all kinds of symbols and hidden meanings but often you get the best clues from the feelings. If you take the above list of feelings in the dream it maybe exactly capturing your feelings from the day before when "I was really looking forward to work yesterday. Then a colleague started to interfere in my work project and I became angry. My ideas were undermined and I ended the day feeling frustrated". The dream itself may feature all kinds of silly details which bear no resemblance to reality but the dream captures the exact feelings and emotions over some specific incident.
