Default 2 recurring dreams

I have been having these two types of dreams recurring over and over through the years...

Type 1- In real life, I have almost zero fear of height. However, I often dream of myself being at a great height, often at some half-ruined bulding or an old stairwell with wobbly handrail...What is interesting is that I usually don't notice the danger and don't have a fear of height while I'm ascending to that place...it just that at one point everything(usually built structures I'm at) seems to fall apart around me, it's like everything becomes ruined, old and unsafe at once and I always end up crawling, trying to escape the risk of falling down in these kind of dreams...I think this might have something to do with success and fear of losing it...

Type2- In these kind of dreams the common point is the 'Cassandra complex' (named after an Ancient Greek prophet Cassandra, who was cursed so no one would believe her prophecies...It is when a person has a feeling that he/she knows something nobody else does and he/she has a feeling that no one believes them) For instance, I dream about a perfect summer day in my family house, everyone's there, the sky is blue, the birds are singing, everything is even a bit too picture perfect and harmonious...Everyone is very relaxed, like you would be midday on a hot summer day...Then I come running, completely panicked, shaking, asking my mother to lock up everything and close the shutters and call the police because there's a killer after me and he will kill us all...She declines to do that, saying "Oh, relax, there's no one after you trying to kill you..." The disharmony between everyone's mood and my anxiety is enormous... I feel really frustrated for them not believing me

These dreams must be really important as they are apperaing over and over...and I would appreciate any help with the interpretation, thank you in advance

Default Fear of falling

Hi,

You often dream about your everyday thoughts - hopes and fears. However dreams have definite functions in sleep and your subconscious creates the dream to perform required function. Very often the dream is dreamt simply for entertainment or diversion. I think your dreams are waking dreams and dreamt near morning or when you had enough sleep. The dreams gradually raise your level of consciousness to the waking level.
In the first dream your subconscious uses your fear of coming down to earth and losing your well earned success.
In the second dream, the waking element is your annoyance with people who don't look up to you.

Smile thank you for your insight

Wow, this is a completely new perspective on these dreams! I thought they kept recurring because it was some hidden trauma or pressure/anxiety that my subconsciousness was constantly trying to tell me about and I was not able to proccess consciously...I was convinced it was something more serious but a simple dream mechanism to prepare me for waking up...

So, basically, my subconsciousness was using my two real, conscious fears-fear of failure and fear of being ignored, to raise my attention and therefore wake me up?

Hi,
It is very difficult to understand dreams, as there are many different schools of interpretation. I'm fairly certan that dreaming is a nocturnal control system that tells you what to do and how to react to influences that happen while you sleep.
In sleep the bodily functions carry on and many things can happen that need attension. The dreams tell you when to move and change position, when to wake up, and when to ignore the outside influence or minor irritations and stay asleep. Dreams also entertain and divert negative thoughts into dream stories. A nocturnal picture show!
Cheers Wolfjk
