Default no regrets...

umm, hello. I had a dream that made me wake up several times in the night, and it somehow was in two halves with two endings... I think I understand the latter one quite well, but it feels like Iīm missing something in the first half... please help? forgive me it is quite long^_^'

I found myself in a big room. It looked like the dining-hall of a castle, and to the far right the room turned around a corner forming an upside-down L. In this shorter end there were many boxes or something that I am not sure what it was, but that was unimportant. I was not alone, there were many others here. However, it seemed we were here in secret. There were also guards from the castle, but they did not know it was us. Then I saw a small child, almost a baby, that seemed to be trapped somehow. Without the guards noticing, I freed the child and told him that when no one was looking, he could slip away and go into the dining-hall. At the far end there was an elevator that would go up to the surface. That was our secret get-away, and if he used it he would be free. I then went back to the dining-hall, where there seemed to be some sort of auction. It was all secret but the guards didnīt notice. Neither did they seem to know about that elevator which was just standing there in full view. Then our enemy entered. He looked somewhat like a king, but at first he was actually supposed to be the devil... only because I did not like that and because he was not all-through evil even if he certainly was evil, I had that fact changed by willpower. He was laughing, and he carried the child I spoke to earlier. As I saw the child I began suspecting something wrong, for he grinned cruelly as the king put him down. The king then grabbed our leader, an old man, and shouted that we had been revealed. Everything was silent as he told that the child was a spy. Then he asked if anyone wanted to take the punishment for our leader. I felt the feelings rage inside me, shame for beeing such a fool, fear of the punishment and to admit my fault, but then an odd feeling of acceptance as I raised my hand and stepped forward. I was terribly scared, but I thought that it did not matter what would happen to me, if only I would not have to live in regret. So I told everyone of my mistake. For a moment I believe the child stopped grinning. Then the king began speaking about lots of things that I donīt remember anymore, but after a while I had enough and just got down on my knees bowing, because it would end things and get the punishment started already. I dunno why, it was kinda stupid, but suddenly there were a pile of logs on my head. As were there on the old man. They didnīt weigh anything either. Then it seemed everyone on our side had to vote who was going to die, and for each vote the king cut down one of the logs. A slight moment I had hope of surviving, but then realized I did not want to because that would mean the death of our leader. Then I thought people certainly didnīt like me that much, so of course they would choose me to die. As I felt the logs disappearing, I knew it was the end, and the feeling of calm acceptance which had been flowing through me since I first raised my hand grew stronger than ever. But then the chopping of the logs stopped. There were still three left on me, as I raised my head I saw that my life had been spared. The old man was dead. He was dead because of me... The scene changed. It was on a hexagon shaped out-door terrace, with some bridges leading to it from a blue-roofed house. It was in the middle of a beautiful flowery swamp. People were worried about me since I had not spoken in several days. One of my friends(there were no one Iīve known from real life in this) came going on the bridge. He first tried to speak to me, but I didnīt answer. Then he raised his sword trying to scare me into opening my mouth, but I just lowered my head. Then tilted to the side as he pretended to attack me. It was no use...

and thatīs when I half woke up and then had the other ending when I fell asleep again... this was in no way a nightmare, even if it was scary. swords, magic and dangerous situations arenīt unusual in my dreams. also I donīt know if itīs of any importance, but I might have been a guy at some points in this one. thatīs quite common for me though, Iīm a tomboy.
anyway, Iīd be grateful for help^_^

Hi,
The dream is too long for me to decipher but about the meaning of the death, I should say it is wakening from a long dream.

Good luck.
