Hi,I had a dream last night of a police office and I were walking and he was to
my left and had his arm around my shoulder as we were walking..Than later in the dream i recall getting icecream for a couple of people.I was also eating icecream as I was waiting for the worker to give me the rest of the icecream..than I woke up.

As you may recall in the other dream i had dicussed about a man I had a disagreement with.In real life he is a cop so i do not know if this dream is trying to tell me something.

Well yes I think it has a lot to do with the dream. Dreams represent little insights we have into real life. In this case I think the dream plays out how you think things OUGHT TO BE. That policemen should be caring and willing to help those around them. Hidden inside the dream maybe some resentment towards him in real life. That maybe he does not act the way that he should - that he should be more like in the dream.

------------------------
Freud often used to connect dreams to fantasies. That is a rather negative way to look at dreams. In some cases the fantasies that we have get out of control and bear no relation to reality. In that case your dream may bring you back down to earth and will represent ways in which your fantasies are unrealistic. But in many cases its best to use the term motivating rather than fantasy. So for example if wake up with a highly positive dream where you are in your workplace and getting things done then you could see this dream as evidence of your own positive outlook. In real life look for signs of such the positive outlook. You may have been thinking about clearing away past failures or trying to connect and communicate better with people. In what ways did you lie awake thinking about the day to come and how things will be getting better soon.
