woke up in a complete panic unable to breathe

hi there,

I had a dream two nights ago.

The guy i am seeing at the moment cheated on me with my best friend from school who i have not seen in ten years! They were walking down the road and stopping to kiss I could see them and I flew into a rage, he proceeded to tell me that he didnt love me and that we were completely over, it then skipped to my house (which was the house i grew up in but it didnt have the same decor) he was there and i was begging and pleading for him pathetically to take me back, my family was in the living room. All of a sudden he wasnt the guy i was currently seeing but my first boyfriend that i dated a long time ago, i all of a sudden didnt care to much about him and proceeded to throw him out of my house shouting and screaming that he could do what he liked that i didnt care.....

Why did the person i currently love suddenly become an ex of mine but seemed to be the same person throughout the dream, I only noticed the change in who he was when i had woken up!

I was very distressed all day yesterday over this dream if anybody can interpretate it i would be so happy and greatful.

Dreams can be very very symbolic. The dream is perhaps about something not even related to your bf. Its portraying an emotion such as "Its really not worth bothering with". It loosely covers issues such as loyalty. Think of some thing where you are doubting their is a true connection. maybe its just even a hobby. Right now you do not feel that same sense of connection

Really its difficult to interpret dreams. It could be about your bf and some doubts you have about him. It could be even telepathic. Yet its most likely its about some doubt or uncertainty you have with him. Maybe he has not been as attentive recently. Maybe you sense something in his behavior. Yet these intuitions can be wrong. It may just be linked to the relationship starting to loose some excitement

There are lots of potential causes of dreams. Sometimes we have a dream with lots of bad emotions in it. It may just be that you woke up in a bad mood. That the dream you had captured that bad and possibly bvery insecure mood.

But recently I have become universally unpopular". But we could also see Tony Blair in another sense. He is the ally of President Bush and is often accused of doing everything he says and because of this has been accused of being a poodle. So maybe the dream captures some theme with a similar "yes man" theme. But Tony Blair could also have different meanings. He has virtually said that he will resign in the spring and there was much speculation about this and about how he should go about resigning. Maybe the dream captures a similar theme in your own life eg "I am thinking of leaving my job. But if I tell my boss it may cause trouble for me. I might just leave it as long as possible".

Therefor its possible to list many different symbolic meanings. Any one of these could be correct. The first association that comes to mind is not always the correct one. Its a matter of trying out different theories and then seeing if they fit the situation or feelings within your life. If one seems to work then try working in the other dream symbols.

Hi there,

thanks for your prompt response..to be honest i think you could be right. My boyfriend recently broke up with me but we have still been seeing each other. I suppose i feel insecure because we havent spoken about getting back together properly...so I am quiet confused about how he feels. I just found it bizzare that he turned into an ex boyfriend from my past, the house from my past was there and the girl was a friend from my past all around the same time.
