Finding it hard to intepret this dream!

I couldnt really sleep last night because i have laryngitis atm and is very awkward to genearlly get any relaxation into your day but i did fall asleep for about an hour and i had this dream, which felt like it lasted agges and i genuinly thought it had happened like a distant memory when i woke up. anyway... it was this....

I was standing behind a bar in a quite nice cafe and im not sure where it was but i know it wasnt england! And some guy stole my handbag but i dont really remember this well i just recall him stealing it. Then about ten mins later another guy, i cant remember his name but i know he worked at the cafe, he was foreign and a bit strange, he ran off with my hand bag and i ran after him and then he stopped and took out my purse and i grabbed it all back and then i had a go at him and he said he did it because he is trying to flirt with me???

Anyway after that we were back at the cafe and i was telling this girl who i dont know but i think was supposedly my best friend that the guy was really weird and i hid my bag in a room so far away that i could barely reach it. Then when i came out 3 girls who i fell out with in real life bout 2 months ago came in and non of them could look me in the eye and they started makin slight remarks to each other really loudly so i could hear but i didnt care because i was thinkin i work in this really amazing place with all these ppl hu r my real friends and ur jus there with nothin better to do. So it kinda carried on and then one of the girls hu was my best frend for yrs walked in wearng the tiniest dress and i turned to the girl that i was with and said 'and they had the audacity to call me a tart?' (coz they did in real life lol cheap shot i know).

After this i suddenly ended up in this masssive opening and it was like white and a kinda stair effect to it and a big statue at the top but it wasnt steep infact the opposite. And loads of people were sittin on the edges of each step waitin for soemthing and i saw a boy they i really liked (duno hu he is tho) and he gestured for me to come sit with him and he started hugging me and things and i felt really really happy sittin with my friends and this boy. I didnt know any of them! but i wasnt bothered when i saw my old friends. Im thinkin this might be what the dream is about that im ready to maybe move on from the grief of my old friends and my x bf, but maybe it is something a little more aswell?

ah also forget to say half way thru the drive in a totally unrelated place i was outside my x bfs work place and i could see him staring at me through the window and i was jus trying to ignore him and i knew he was missing me by the look on his face but i didnt care lol! so confused

Well my first question is was the handbag taken from you by the cafe guy or from the first guy? I only ask because I am wondering if the bag symbolizes something else... your heart perhaps? You say there is an ex boyfriend and some ex friend who have caused you pain lately. Perhaps you are guarding yourself, your trust, your heart from other people now, without realizing it perhaps. The man stealing your "purse" is in theory then stealing your heart, but you want it back. I would have to ask is there a man in your life that maybe you are liking, or even seeing as a possible romance, but you are avoiding it because your not sure about him, something you find a little odd or uncomfortable, or that you just aren't trusting?

The second part seems almost like a reassurance. I notice you say you hid the "purse" far away. Again perhaps you are hiding yourself or your heart to protect yourself from getting hurt. As for the girls, its your minds way of saying that you are perhaps better off without them, and ready to start the next phase of you life. Do not take anything they called you or said to you to heart, because they were wrong and you know they were, and you are happy with your life now so you are ready to let them go. Same as ex bf missing you...and you don't care. you are ready to move on with your life and start the next chapter. Leave the past in the past.


The stairs part I feel is more of the same. You are moving on and perhaps up in the world. You will make new friends, and once you stop guarding yourself perhaps a new love, and you will be happy. You will be loved and happy, but first you must let go of the past and the "baggage" of the past and start fresh.

Thank you that was so apt and makes perfect sense about the bag! The bag was stollen twice one by a random man and another time by the cafe man and that does make sense that the bag would represent my trust or my heart! Its put me in a positive mood this dream so i believe what you have said is correct thank you so much x

I think your dream was dreamt to divert you from your soar throat so you could get some sleep. These long drawn out dreams are dreamt as a sort of entertainment to take your mind of your laryngitis. At the same time the dream helps with the healing process.
The dream is made up from your own experiences, thoughts and whatever the subconscious creates.

I dont know where you live, but in Europe purse snatching is common uccurrance on holidays. I personally know at least three people who had their purses snatched. You might have heard it discussed or read about it and your subconscious used it in your dream.
