Swinging above an auction with no way down

The dream started out with me standing on a metal bar attached to two cables high above what seemed to be a farm and ranch auction in a giant tent. The bar was swinging sideways, end to end-wise way up and out over the floor. I could not hang on to the cables because I had items in each hand that looked like old rusty car parts. I had to balance like crazy to keep from falling off. I could feel my feet on the bar and every time I moved my foot to the side the bar would swing way out in that direction. I kept feeling like I was going to fall off. Sometimes the bar would swing low enough for me to read the tags on the auction items to see who bought it and how much they paid, but the tags didn't make sense. Before I could jump off a few feet to the floor, the bar would swing way up high in a wide arc over the floor and I had to balance again. I could feel the sensation in the pit of my stomch, like an out of control elevator, way up, down, way out over the floor, dipping down, then back up and around again. All I wanted to do was get safely down to the floor. There were alot of people on the floor, browsing the auction items and talking in a soft buzz, but no one noticed I was trapped up there. Either they didn't hear me or they didn't care. I was terrified and felt like it would go on forever.
