My grand-mother's death

I was the beloved grandson of my grandmother. At that time I was 14 yrs old. Me and my grandmother were both suffering from malaria. That night I had high fever (105 F). I was almost unconscious. Suddenly I saw a place filled with smoke (white smoke). I started to feel suffocated. I wanted to go out of the place but couldn't find the way out. Then I started to cry. Tears made my vision blurred. Then suddenly my vision got cleared and I was crying no more. The smoke had already disappeared. I could see my grandmother's room very clearly. She was lying on her bed, her eyes closed and a light smile on her face. After that I saw that the room was filled with people. I could recognize my parents beside my grandmother's bed. The rest I couldn't recognize. All of them were crying. Then my mother told me that my grandmother has passed away. I screamed and started to cry. Then I felt very cold and don't remember anything.

Then next morning when I woke up my fever had subsided but couldn't get up due to weakness and fatigue. Then my mother told me that the previous night my fever reached the scale of 106 F. But in my unconscious state I was screaming in some alien language and was crying. They had to pour ice cold water over my head to bring down my fever and calm me down. I asked about my grandmother. She was alive and was sleeping in her bedroom. My mother told me that she was recovering.

I don't know what happened that my grandmother's health deteriorated later that day and she had to be hospitalized that evening. She was there in the hospital for 17 days and was in the ddep state of comma. On the 18th day she died of renal failure.

I still don't have explanation to my dream where I saw my dead grandmother when she was alive.

Could any one please provide me with an explanation!

I have heard of similar occurnces before. I believe perhaps your grandmother and yourelf shared a spiritual connection. She may have known she would not get better, she might have even somewhat been on the otherside waiting for her body to die so she could move on. Your fever and delirium may have presented a window for her to tell you she was moving on, and the fact that she was smiling, may have been a symbol to you that she was okay and happy, and even that she was "ready" to go.

Another possibility is that your subconcious knew she wasn't going to make it and was preparing you for her passing. But I still believe the smile represents that she she was happy and okay. THe dream is probably meant to bring you comfort in the time of your Granmother's passing. I hope this helped a little.

I think that it is the best possible explanation to my dream. Actually my mother told me the same thing when I told her about my dream years after my grandmom's death.
