delusions

ok so the other night i was asleep, i dont know really know what the dream was really about. but at some point during the night i woke up and couldnt move. this happens fairly often, but normally i am able to make my self move and wake up. this time i was able to move but i couldnt fully wake up. and i would go back and forth between a dream and half of reality for about an hour (which seemed like an eternity).
i tried different ways of waking myself up, one of which was hitting myself in the head as an act of desperation, but i stopped because i thought there was a pair of sizzors in my hand. the next morning my head hurt where i had been hitting it.
i dont remember everything that happened, but i do remember that i was suffering from some pretty major delusions. and i felt like i was Schizophrenic.
does anybody know what this was?

I have this experience before. It may sound crazy but my mother always told me that when you wake up feeling paralyzed it means that a ghost is sitting on you. Many people think I'm crazy but I believe it. When it happened to me I usually feel spirits (demons) around me. I remember one time I actually woke up and saw shadows in corners lunging at me. I wouldn't be able to talk. Sometimes I tried to scream for my mom and nothing but a whisper would come out. My mom said that she thought she heard something from my room but it wasn't loud enough to get her attention. Again, you may think this is nuts but that's my personal experience. I used to get them almost nightly but now that I've gotten closer to God, they happen less often.
