True, romantic love

i have had 3 dreams in a series. each one of them, there is a girl that i am madly in love with. the love i feel in the dream is much more then the love i feel from my wife. it is truly unexplainable and makes me question whether i am in love with my wife or not. if this love i feel for this woman in my dream really exists.

each time i see her, we are running from a group of people that are after me from killing my sister in a court house a few weeks ago. (in the first dream) but it seems though i am protecting her as well. im not sure yet. the other night we were in someone elses house hiding. there has been no sex, but the body high i get in her presense is substantial. she doesnt say much, but she is very trusting. btw, i love my sister. dont know why i killed her.

Please don't question your love for your wife based solely on this dream. The dream seems to be more about you...not her. The love that you are feeling in this dream seems to be about freedom... freedom from the burden of hiding your emotions and/or hiding behind the image that you have built for yourself. The reason I say this is the presence of certain symbols in your dream. Running from people after killing your sister (relationships and escape) and hiding in someone else's house (self deception). I believe the feeling of love you have in your dream is so intense because it is freedom from the facade. Pressures of life and pains from the past can cause people to shut down emotionally and become distant from even their own true feelings. I believe the dream is trying to show you to get back in touch with who you really are. You said that this woman doesn't say much...but is very trusting. I imagine this is a quality you feel is lacking in some of your most treasured relationships....and that is why it is coming out in your dream. I believe you have blocked out a lot of your true feelings because of fear that people will use this information against you or mock you for having these emotions. that post was amazing and should be a sticky! i have never known of dream guides, but makes total sense. i believe we all have spiritual guides, so why not dream guides? i have also believed that dreams hold a unique message but i thought i was the only one, which is the reason i searched, found, and joined this site.

now, as far as the woman in my dream, i am the one always pulling her and leading her into the hiding places. now that i know her role, and can recognize it, i should let her do the leading.

and the interpritation of hiding in a house. its not always a house. somtimes its a porch too. im not sure about the self deception, i mean, we are being chased by people shooting at us. when we are there, i feel a sense of security and safty, and the men never find us.

dont get me wrong, i dont question my love for my wife based on this dream. but the love i felt made me wonder if love that intense really existed outside our minds. but the explaination from sailrmc explained it all.

I once was the biggest skeptic but after much reading and more understanding through reading others dreams I am now a huge believer.

From the awareness that this dream has brought to consciousness (waking awareness is what I speak of), I can see that your dreams are soon going to take you places that you mind ithat will convey deep meaning. Another thing that you might want to do.(i cannot remember if I have already suggested it to you). Google, Carl Jung, individuation... Undrestanding this term will allow you to step back and see what the big picture is, concerning the processes of the mind and that which dreams accomplish. sailr, there are sooo many points that you touched with your interpretation, its almost scary! but in a good way. i didnt respond right away when i read your response, because i wanted to study it closer. i think the message has been long waiting my attention because the more i thought about it, the more i can remember dreams with the same scenario. the woman, the house, running from people shooting at me, it has happened so much, it doesnt bother me anymore, and i have been brushing it off for at least a couple years!! but after reading your response, my dreams have changed.

now, about the house. do the rooms have any significance? i remember a kitchen where she cooked for me, a living room, under a porch, and i think we cuddled on the concret floor in a basement. its what it seemed like. the room was all grey, and we werent on a bed or anything.
