Disturbing Dream: Cut Off My Own Foot and Placed it in a Bag

There was this weird dream I had last night. I recall searching for something but then for some reason I decided to cut off my own foot thinking that I could attach it back later. I put it in a bag and decided to jump with the other leg while keeping possession of the bag with my foot in it (a few other insignificant materials were also inside). I had to go downstairs and somehow I managed to get down the stairs and go meet with everyone else in an outdoors environment looking at the sky.
I am asking this dream question because I need to see a doctor today about a problem I'm having and it worries me to think of something bad happening.
Please help me with an opinion about this!!!!

You should not worry! This is an anxiety dream. You dreamt it because you feel apprehensive about seeing the doctor. The dream means nothing. However it is possible that your foot went to sleep while you slept.

I am glad everything worked out okay for you. Wolf may have been correct in stating it was an anxiety dream....and I too would have said that in part it was caused by anxiety over medical issues. I would like to add however that the dream may reflect not only your anxiety about your medical issue...but also anxiety about some major decisions you are making in your life. Feet generally denote a path that you are taking in life. To cut off your foot may indicate that you have recently decided not to proceed with a certain direction or to "cut off" certain people in your life for whatever reason. The fact that you kept your foot in a bag with other items/materials may mean that although you have decided against a certain direction or have distanced yourself from certain people...you are leaving these decisions or relationships open for possible repair in the near future.
