Serial killer

I had a dream last night that frightened me tremendously. I got a phone call from a man who called me by the name my parents use for me. His name is only familiar to me because it is the name of one of my son's friends. The man was obviously very upset by something and he asked me if I was watching TV. I said no and I pleaded with him to tell me why. He started explaining by mentioning the nickname of a serial killer (I made it up in my dream) and I realized he was referring to the fact that something had happened to my son.

In the morning, before I explained my dream to anyone, my husband told me he had a dream where he was at the site of a serial murder. What could this mean?

You don't need to worry, the fact that your husband had a dream mentioning a serial killer too probably just means that you both read the same thing in the paper or saw the same thing on TV - that you associated watching TV with the mention of the serial killer in your dream suggests that that's probably the case. All proper parents have anxiety dreams of a similar sort where something has happpened to their children, regardless of whether any real danger exists or not (it almost certainly does not).
