"You Knew We Were Coming"

A little background ...

Alien dreams are a common theme. In them I'm always hiding, barely escaping, or meeting one up close. I never really understand what they mean. I extract keywords and try to intrepret the dream myself. Sometimes there is understanding, however the impression is so strong I'm often left feeling inconclusive about it.

Anyhoo, here is the dream. I hope someone can shed some light for me.

I feel they are coming.
Again, on my old block in my old apartment. I step out to look into the sky. I see the stars more clearer than I ever seen before. I see the galaxy up close. Planets are as if they are only a few miles up. I’m suspicious of the clarity. Then I notice the aircraft. It’s boxy and grey. There are color arcs in the sky. Brilliant pink, deep blues. Very beautiful. I’m in the house now. A being steps out of the craft and places it’s wiry gel like hand around mine. It places it’s other hand on my shoulder. I feel like there’s nothing I can do. I want to run, panic, fight, but instead, nervously I accept it’s greeting.
They have come to take me away.
What about everybody I would leave behind?!
"Can I see my mom", I asked.
“No”, the being says with a smile. It’s voice in stereo sound.
This alien is multicolored. Something about it’s eyes makes it beautiful, making it a little easier to accept its alieness.

“Can I have more time”? I ask.
I sense the answer is no.
I’m feeling claustrophobic, trapped in a fate that I do not want to accept. What about JJ and Jabbar? Where am I going? Why do they want me? I’m I going to die? What is next?

Reminding me, the alien says, “ You knew we were coming”

A feeling in me did know, but how and why?
I accepted my fate.


Then I woke up.

Often dreams concentrate on key emotions and thoughts that we have just felt. Quotes are particularly important

Think about this quote in detail. Think very laterally. What does it make you think about.

In a wider sense aliens are perhaps symbols of alien things. Things which are strange and unfamiliar. Things that you have never come across before. Say for instance people who are very different to you. Situations which you have no possible way of understanding.
