Hi all im 18 and im going to college in about 20 days. Thats relevant because i dont want a gf and have no desire to get one although i can if i wanted to. my last two ex girlfriends ended in a way that i still have some feelings for them but if given the chance i wouldnt go back with them i know that. I have been having dreams constantly, in fact i cant remember one without this, but they have been in them in one way or another. Mainly its just them being there, but a few have been romantically. What confuses me is their never together. Their actually best friends and in my dreams they are never both there its one or the other. Recently the past few days, last night for example, I had a dream about being at a show and seeing one of my ex's with my older sister, whom i havent seen in a year due to the fact that she is a marine. She was walking around with my ex at the show. I then woke up, and had a similar dream where i was at a hockey game about to play and my other ex, was walking around with my older sister there like it was nothing. I dont understand that i dont know if that means i secretly want them back but am not ready to admit it. I am just looking for some closure on the subject and was hoping someone could help. Thanks for the help in advance.

It sounds like you had a deep emotional connection with these two woman, and maybe their presence brings comfort and familiarity to otherwise stressful/awkward or new situations.
which would make sense if you're unconsciously experiencing stress/ anxiety about starting college. I don't think it means that you want either of them back romantically but sometimes having romantic dreams about someone can represent closeness. Maybe you just want to have a deeper friendship with them, or you want to reaffirm your emotional ties (have deep conversations, unwavering loyalty, ect)... if they are best friends, then maybe that's why you don't see them together in your dreams (best friends tend to stick together and concentrate more on each other when they're together)and in your dreams they're there for you. That could be why they are with your sister. Because she is another familiar loyal person... if you recognize more details from your dreams you could try to pick up on some common themes or objects and look them up in online dream dictionaries.. hope i helped |

WellI firmly believe that dreams use symbols like we use words in real life. That they can put across some very sophisticated meanings. Think of the sophisticated ways in which you use the word ex girlfriend in real life. eg
"I really am not interested in relationships right now. It was too complicated with my ex " Notice how your dream associates your ex with someone you haven't seen for ages. Maybe thats the dream worlds way of expressing this thought "I am not in the mood for relationships right now. Girls can stay as far away from me as they like" Actually the dream oprobably symbolizes the very background information that you mentioned i your post. Its just written in the strange language of dreams. ------------------------ Many dreams seem magical and totally divorced from reality. Yet remember that dreams are about your mind. They symbolise how you see the real life challenges in your life. Dreams contain bizarre images such as mad dogs, vampires and dragons. Yet in reality we see our own struggles in rich and fantastical ways. So when you pick up a sword try to see that as an expression of your own assertiveness. Then compare that to the real life struggles in life where you have shown that self same wish to take on the demons and dragons in your own life. See how the dream represents your own fantasies and paranoia's. What thoughts were keeping you awake before the dream? What challenges were you thinking about concerning the day to come? Just try to interpret a dream in simple terms. A huge long dream may simple be reduced to one simple quote such as "In the dream I saw a monster and fought with it". Then compare this to real life. Simply ask what the monster is and how does the battle represent your own thoughts and motivations.
