Job Interview
I had applied for a history position at the local high school and was interviewed by the principal. After the interview was complete, he asked me to carry a large box to the classroom. So I picked it up and carried it through the hallways. Other teachers looked at me at remarked at my strength and told me that I'd have no problem with the older children. Then I found my classroom and sat down the box. The classroom was small and dark and the teacher's desk was made of metal wire and mangled on top. In back of the room were more teacher's desk, but they were facing away from the class. I thought that they need to face towards the class for interaction. Next, the principal came by and told me that a final decision would be made Friday evening, so I went back to the elementary school. As I exited the school, my wife entered the building with my son's violin teacher. She and I didn't speak to each other, and kept on walking.
