In my dream, I was at my hair dresser's, getting my hair cut. I have never colored my hair, other than one little hilight in the front, but she was cutting my hair and I looked in the mirror and it was suddenly almost completely grey/white. This did not make me happy at first. I didn't know what she had done. I took a brush, and brushed it, but the brush had color on it, so now my hair was a dark blondish. I am definitely not a blonde so this didn't make me happy, either.
Now my hairdresser had to redo my colors completely, which was going to be time-consuming. I actually like my natural hair color (which at my age, should be grey, but it isn't) and anything she tried was going to look fake. I was also worried, because my hair is fine and soft naturally, and I didn't know what it would do to the texture. Each time she tried a color, I tried to be open minded, but it just wasn't right. My hair is normally very short, but at one point, in my dream, as a blonde, it was long. Some people thought that looked nice, but I thought it looked cheap. I couldn't imagine how she could make this right and wasn't clear as to whether it would grow in grey/white or dark because I wasn't sure if it had suddenly turned grey on it's own, or if she'd done something. It really didn't look bad white, so if it was natural, that would have been fine. I just didn't want odd-colored roots, which I was destined to have, no matter what she did. I ended up with an unnatural color similar to mine, but darker. I tried to accept it. At some point, also, while it was white, she took scissors and cut two slits straight across my bangs right to the scalp, as though this was going to make it look "perfect". That really freaked me out, but when I looked, you couldn't see the chunks. It actually looked very nice in the front. Not sure what that was about. Also... it would not be helpful to have someone say, "if your hair turns white, this means you will die", or something similar. And there was some man around whose opinion about my hair seemed to matter. Lil' Last edited by lilolehs : 08-05-2008 at 12:12 PM. |

Hi,
If dreamt was older and his beard or her hair was gray means he will have some dignity and rank. If one dreamt he/she was combing his/her hair or his beard means he /she will rescue from a sorrow. If dreamt he/she combed his/her hair means he is expert and skillful in his job.* If dreamt he was combing his beard means he will pay his poor-rate.

well... thank you but I'm not really "old". I'm in my mid-40's... and I'm a woman, so hopefully, I don't have a beard!

Things that has to do something with your dress or hairstyle and colour or things, that are focused on your outer look in dreams usually point into directionj of dreamer'e persona..that is it seems your dream has something to do with the way, you present yourself as a person to the outer world.
It is easier to interpret a dream if you tell some basic information about you and things that you are thinking a lot lately, because subconscious often in dreams in symbolic way tells a story, that our consciousness can't work through in a daytime. The hairdresser could be aspect or part of your own personality, which is trying to find the right colour for you (identity in the outside world, your true role in present life situaton of any kind). You don't seem to be satisfied with none of the colours which is put on you...maybe you should (methaporically) pick your colour by yourself and stick at that one. Good luck, Dedalus |

Well, what I would like is to present myself as I naturally am (which could be why I could not be satisfied with anything unnatural). Unfortunately, people often only see a one-dimensional representation of a person, based on a small slice of them.
But you're right. I have a lot on my mind in that particular area of my life. I've been dissatisfied with how men seem to see me. It doesn't seem to be based on reality. It seems there's quite a bit of "fake" and confusion when it comes to games men and women play with each other. I do not want to deal with that realm. Yet, it seems that is a realm I need to deal with. |

Yes, that what dreams are saying...you want your natural colour...but I guess it takes time to present ourselves as we really are and in between there are many "colours" put on us, if we like it or not. I am sure, the hairdresser(yourself) will find the right colour, which will represent you at its best
