I dream a lot (almost every night) and remember lots of dreams. Most of my dreams are epic adventures and deal with various emotions, challenges and desires. I generally really enjoy all of my dreams.
but none of my dreams have stirred emotions while I'm dreaming as intense as a dream I had last night, in a really long time. Yesterday was a devastating day though. I lost an opportunity for a job that would have been my dream job, and after getting great feedback from a fairly full on series of interviews, it was given to someone internally And a relationship that I really want to work but has been a struggle over the last couple of months came to a painful but not definite end.I struggled to find sleep and woke up lots durring the night. A lot of dark and even suicidal thoughts consumed my head. (However I'm not at risk of harming myself. I'm still generally a happy, well grounded person) So Here is the dream: It starts with the realisation that everyone was to die right now and it was the decision of a higher power. The higher power had a physical presence of alien like robot things but I don't think I knew what they actually looked like, just an awareness of them. In this dream I'm terrified of dying! These higher power things are rounding people up in a very organised manner and shipping them all away in busses to be executed in an apparently painless way. Everyone seems to accept that this is how it is and no one fights it. Myself on the other hand? I run. I run and hide because I don't feel OK about this situation. I have no other thoughts except to do what has to be done to stay alive. No one helps me or shares my understanding. This scares me more. I begin battling with a new fear that death is inevitable and no matter how much I fight it I am still going to die. I continue running and hiding and in not too long I am aware that I am the only person left alive. I am alone. Devastated by this awareness, exhausted and reaching a new low of emotional darkness I give in. I accept that I am going to die and I don't fear it anymore. Perhaps because I have nothing left to live for. I find myself very at peace with myself and embrace death as part of life. The scene changes. A close friend of mine is now with me. So is his family, and my Auntie is making everyone a really good roast dinner. We all know it's our last meal but we're OK with that. I have a sudden desire to reflect on all of my best and worst moments of my life but I stop myself. I decide actually I don't need to do anything, process anything, or try to feel anything. Just to be. I woke up gently, feeling much better than i did when I went to sleep. If anyone has some insight or wants to comment I would appreciate it. I find dreams really fascinating and I'm going to do a little research. More along the lines of dream therapy but not excluding dream symbols. I'll be back... |

Hi,
If one dreamt someone killed him means he will have a long life.********* If dreamt he killed someone but didn't decapitate him means he will do him a favor. If dreamt a group were killed means he will have a benefit. The Israelian /33.************* If dreamt someone killed him in oppression means he is oppressed and someone will revenge for him.The Pilgrimage /60. If one dreamt killed his own child means he will receive moral livelihood. The Livestock/151. If one dreamt killed a fierce animal or an insect or a roach means he will overcome the enemy. Beheading ; Guillotine; Execution ;decapitate If one dreamt he was beheaded and he was decapitated means, if he is jailed, he will let free. If he is ill means he will be cured. If he has debts means he will pay back. If he is pagan means he will be a believer. If his head was not separated the executioner will do him a favor. Generally dreams of beheading are good for poor people and is bad for rich people. If one dreamt he was running away means he will be forgiven or he will overcome the enemy. Because Moses dreamt he was running away from Pharaoh and later he overcame the Pharaoh. If one dreamt men were running away from women means he is afraid of a big man. To run away if he didn't scream means happiness but if he screamed means a disaster is on the way. So, in a two months time, your problem will be solved and you will get happy.

Hello,
The notion that you bring up, dream therapy, is huge and it is alive and well within you! What I mean to say is that the processes of "your" subconscious mind are, from what you have explained, in the mode of damage control leading to resolution about your situation. Dream therapy varies in it's specific approach however, it runs along the lines of bringing to awareness, areas or aspects of the dreamer's life that need resolution and or change. Through a series of dreams, resolution is exactly what takes place and it empowers the dreamer to rise above that which plagues him and allows him to move in new direction. This process facilitates acknowledgement of problems or issues, (in either a symbolic or literal fashion), problems that stand a high probality of standing your way of success. I have done much work in dream therapy area. Correction...most of the work is done by the dreamer, I have just been there to facilitate awareness of the messages that their subconscious mind presented and to explain what is going on. This process is a gift in every sense of the word, and is inititated by our subconscious mind, our lifelong friend, mentor, and on board shrink (healer). This process allows for life changing awareness, and often catapults the dreamer into a rebirth (of sorts). sailrmc Last edited by sailrmc : 08-05-2008 at 07:50 AM. |

Well I am interested in dreams. I do study symbols but also believe that dreams have to be interpreted in a special way. I have noticed from my own dreams that they link especially to events that have just happened. The biogger the event the more likely you are to dream about it. In this case you mention a very big event. So I can say that this dream IS ABOUT what happened the day before.
I know it seems extreme. The dream does seem a little suicidal and extreme. But dreams do capture your present set of emotions. But in an exxagerated way. That you feel as if you want to GIVE up(suicide). That death symbolizes the end of this relationship at work. I know in real life you probably feel that "you have had it at work. You have just given up ". The dream symbols capture this prescisely. It maybe a little exxagerated but dreams are like this ------------------------ When you get a dream think carefully about which direction you are currently looking. Are you looking back towards yesterday and something that happened and how you reacted. Or are you looking forward to the day to come. If you are looking forward then its likely the dream is about some thoughts or fears about the day to come. It is diffucult to interpret on a basis of one dram only, much easier it is on a serie of dreams, where dreams clarify themselves over time span...nevertheless, it seems, your subconscious is seeing the situation after the day you mentioned in a way, which is essential.
Sometimes dreams heal oure psyche by themselves and I agree with sailrmc that dreams work for us on their own as kind of an angel guardian...if the day was very stressfull and there ware some wishes and desires dying(job, partner), dream repeated the sequence in a metaphorical way(everyone is dying and suddenly you are all alone) In such stressfull times our psyche has its own defense mechanism...it plugs out the themes in our lives we can not find an answer to at this moment(in your dream you come to terms with death) and makes kind of a regression to look for safety, comfort and reassurance (being with your close friend and his family and aunt is prepearing a good dinner- it is an atmosphere to heal the wounds from dissapointment). And your dreams are perfect example for the fact, that dreams have this healing therapy power on its own...you come in terms with the situation(death-something old is dying) in the first and second dream picture...it must have been very emotional dream but your subconsciousnes seems to know very good wheen you need it...the proof is that after such an emotional dream you nevertheless woke up gently and in much better way, more peacfull with yourself than you were when you went to sleep. A really healing kind of dream, congratulation to your subconscious ![]() |
