Me and an ex-boyrfriend....

So Ive been dating my current boyfriend for two years now.. were planning on getting married, and i know i love him, but i have been having some weird dreams about an ex-boyfriend. Pretty much this ex-boyfriend just pops into my dream and i see him and i get happy. the happiness is an uncontrolable, and i can not explain it. I have not had an contact with my ex-boyfriend for about a year so i dont know what to make of it. I dream that i am kissing him and i dont know i just wake up shocked. Can anyone please explain this dream for me.

It is a positive dream..ex- and present- boy and girlfriends do mix in dreams..I think you found what you were looking for..you are kissing the something, what you in real life haven't found in your ex- boyfriend but you have found now...your past is kind of ok with you and your choice, no "have to get over" things...it seems, the dream is very satisfied with you and your current choice and nothing to be worry about..like a promise of happines

Idk.. i just still feel so confused and i feel guilty, as if i still hold something for him, because when i wake up I want him and i feel a need to see him

I'm no dream expert but i have had the same dream, only i'm the guy and obviously my girlfriend is the girl. I used to dream about her quite often, even when i was very happy with the person i was with. I'd wake up feeling exactly how you explained. I would want to call her and talk to her.. i sometimes even wanted to get back together with her.

Sometimes i'd contact her and try to get back with her only to be smacked in the face with the same reasons we broke up in the first place.

For me i loved this girl so much and i wanted to marry her so bad that even after we broke up i still felt like i wanted to. No matter how great the new person was i still wanted to be with her. I think we fall inlove with people and once we break up with them we just stay in love with the idea of being with that specific person.

We know in the back of our minds it won't work but we still want it because at the time of the relationship we were so inlove. I ran into her several times and the last time i saw her she was with hew new boyfriend. Surprisingly enough i didnt feel sad or uncomfortable at all. I merely said hi, introduced myself to her new boyfriend.. told him take care of her. And i've never had a dream or a want for her ever again.

For me it was just a chapter of my life that i needed to close and even though we had been broken up for 3 years, it hadn't been closed yet.

I now have a great girlfriend that is exactly what i want in a woman and this time ironically enough my ex contacted me! I just said hello and left it alone because the want for her was no longer there. Hope this helps, hold on to what you have trust me. I lost 2 good relationships doubting myself and going back to the ex.

We have to remember they are our EXs for a reason. At one point they were someone new and we tried it.. it failed and thats why the relationship ended.

I can relate to your dream as I have had dreams about my ex boyfriends many times. People who have been an important part of our lives often stay within our hearts and minds long after the relationship is over. You shouldn't feel bad when you dream about, think about or even miss him sometimes.

Your dream could be a reminder for you to not forget the lessons you learned in that relationship and not to make the same mistakes again this time around. Sometimes it isn' bad to close the chapter from the past. Maybe you can contact him and see, how you feel in contact...let things go, close the book...it is hard to go on into the future if part of is closed in the past...then also a part of the life energy is cut out, which we need to go forward
