Well to start out with, I've been someone who dreams quite a bit, however my dreams stopped for awhile. Just this morning though I had a rather peculiar dream.
In my dream there was a series of attached rooms of various sizes, with office equipment in one ie a printer, coffee station and such. The other room which you have to pass through a normal door to get to had a long picnic type table in it. Upon entering the dream I found myself walking by something that reminded me of a secretary and her desk, but as I was just entering the dream I didn't pay much attention to the details, so it was more a fleeting after thought than anything. This walk led me to the afore mentioned rooms. When I had arrived in the first room that had the copier and coffee station (it was a rather large room) I met someone whom I know as a foreman from work. He greeted me warmly with a smile and a handshake, I felt at ease. He didn't say much, but directed me to the next room to fill out some paper work, which I did. Now comes the strange part. As I finished the paper work, I stood up to go get some water a narwhal had come along side me and with something of interest, looked at me with something that seemed to me, a smile, I don't how or why, but it looked as though it smiled through its eyes maybe? Anyway, I began to stroke it or pet it with long strokes which caused it to move closer almost like cuddle up to me(?) as if it liked me I guess or wanted me to continue my friendly petting of it. My foreman buddy now enters the room and is surprised to see the narwhal at my side and the friendly exchange we're having and comments by asking me " How did you do that?" "(Such and such He gave a name that sounded foreign and that I couldn't understand or repeat) doesn't let ANYONE touch (I don't know the gender so I will use 'him') and immediately went to get others to show them my new found acquaintance. They do in fact arrive and I actually went to the other room where the narwhal followed me only to cuddle up to me once again. So I begin to pet it once more but this time I begin to talk in a language I cannot for the life of me recognize, but in my dream I was very fluent and I remember some weird sounds, only once though, that the narwhal made in return. I do remember looking into its eye that faced me and for some unknown reason was able to understand so much with the look and movement of the eye, however what it was that I understood at that particular time was lost to me once I awoke. UGH I have never seen a live narwhal nor have I watched a show about them since I was in grade school, so to have one in my dream AND be able to communicate with it has left me scratching my head. I would like to mention that I do not work in an office environment, and that I only know English. Being a union construction worker in Portland OR means that I rarely see the inside of an office. I don't take any kind of drugs other than coffee or beer and an occasional expensive cigar. Last edited by Vehyrehk : 08-03-2008 at 11:31 AM. Reason: I wanted to have a little more background about myself shown so as not to skewe an interpretation. |
