horrible dream

Last night I had a dream where my husband and I where at a party with a bunch of our friends, family and friends we hadn't seen in a long time. Then I went by myself into a living room of our friends new house and started talking to their mother. It turned into my mother n law, her mother and our baby sitting on the couch...my baby said something in spanish (my mother-n-law and her mother watch him during the day and teach him spanish...he's only 14 months old)...we were very proud of him and then he started fussing and he was getting possessed...I started screaming for the grandmothers to bless him...they started getting possessed and then I woke up crying and couldn't stop...I told my husband about the dream and started praying but couldn't stop crying.

I'm very religious but haven't been to church in awhile and the grandmothers are very religious...

what does this mean???

I don't personally believe in demonic possessions...perhaps you are fearing your mother-in-law's church and their ideas. You are right to question the issue, but your baby is learning a lot of Spanish and I'm sure your mother-in-law is a great babysitter. These are probably just anxieties and worries with no basis in fact, so try not to stress out over the dream. You miss your child when you are away from him, but he is in good hands.

Hello caligirl,
Most dreams are presented in a language all their own, so to speak. Being (young child being possessed) shows that in some way you are worried about the fact that you are your babies mom and someone other than you is influencing. Even though your baby sitter is family, parental instincts are alive and kicking with you. This is the natual fear that exists when someone other than you has a major influence in your childs ways.

Hence being possessed by others ideas and ways when you feel you are the mom and you should be doing the influencing.
