White Elephant

What is it mean if you dream of a white elephant? In the dream, the elephant was around 5-5.5 ft. And I was standing on the right side of the elephant head, touching the elephant. The elephant was calm and peaceful. I almost feel surreal in the dream because I have never seen an elephant in that color. Not pure white, but the skin color so light that I can only think that the elephant must be a white elephant. I cannot remember whether I was riding the elephant or not, because one moment I was up high, and the next moment I was standing next to the elephant touching it. Also, does this make any different if the dream was a couple days before I found out that I am pregnant?

The subconscious mind knows the body and everything that goes on in a pysical sense as well as the emotional side. There are so many great capabilities that the subconscious mind has... I believe that your mind knew in advance of you being aware that you were pregnant. Your feelings about being pregnant are conveyed in the symbolism of the white elephant. Regarding this symbol I see that it can be read in two ways. Please do not take offense with what I say next...the subconscious mind can be unbelievably blatant in it conveyance of information. With this in mind, there is an inference as to how you felt or will feel about this pregnancy.
Perhaps you see pregnancy as an unwanted inconvenience (hence the white elephant). Maybe it is perceived this way by you because of the fact that the timing of this pregnancy may not have been according to plan?? Either way, by the posture of you to the elephant coupled with the association of the elephant you associate your state awareness as either one of being a surprise (unintended pregnancy) AND OR the awareness of the fact that you may then or in the near future view yourself as one who is oversized, (in the waking mind's perception (the conscious mind way of seeing yourself).
White can also intimate a physical state of health, meaning that yours will grow in a sense of being a physical state of health, as you progress along in your pregnancy, that will dictate a reliance on your part with the medical industry.
In general I see this dream as an awareness of the fact that there is a large project in progress, one that will grow, one that will affect in a big way, your waking life.
