Last night I had a dream were a friend and I were walking in a local park and learner drivers are driving down the path slowly towards us, I don't know who the drivers are. Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks very much in advance! x |

This dream implies that there is a reason for outsiders to go against the grain when it comes to you (and or you and someone you seek a relationship with). Think about why someone, (in waking life), would ever find reason to virtually take aim at you, or present an obstacle that you find necessary to navigate around.
In some way you are giving someone reason to oppose you because of an association or relationship? Your thoughts? sailrmc |

First of all, thank you very much sailrmc for replying to my comment.
I cannot think of anyone that would want to take aim at me at the moment, I've left college so I see my friends and others I know very rarely until we meet up again in August. I'm not in a romantic relationship at the moment but there is one I am hoping for but I can't think of anyone who would be against it. The person I was walking with in the dream likes me in a romantic way in real life but he knows that I don't feel the same, but in my dream he was my boyfriend. Do you think it could be anything to do with our current relationship or anything to do with him in general? Many thanks x *Just to add, in my dream I didn't feel threatened by these cars coming towards me because they were so slow. And can I ask if there is a reason that they were learner drivers instead of experienced drivers?* Last edited by blackicerose : 07-29-2008 at 11:42 AM. |

Well dreams help us compare a situation in real life to some metaphor. Learner drivers would be associated with emotions that we link towards learner drivers. For instance , I would associate learners with simple mistakes. Did anyone make a simple mistake the day before? did anyone accuse you of making an elementary mistake the day before? do you feel lacking in confidence in some way in real life.
------------------------ We often go to the movies or watch TV and can get highly involved in the plot and emotions that the characters go through. Dreams are very much like this. If a dream seems highly emotional then it maybe is capturing the emotions that you feel about some situation in your life. So see how these little movies really captured your emotions from yesterday. Pick out crucial moments from the previous day and see how the emotions and feelings are replayed. Many dreams simply capture the emotions that we feel - many simply capture emotions that are easy to recognise such as happiness, sadness and frustration. When we watch a TV show it may not bear any direct relation to our own real lives but still we can identify with the characters in simple ways. So forget the detailed plot of a dream and just try to get a clue from the dreams simple emotions. Then see what relevance they have to your own life. How do the characters in the dream feel and how are they similar to your own real life? You are learning from an experience which left a bad taste in your mouth, so to speak. Get up again and go on with your life. You aren't a "beginning driver" anymore, so you can survive this experience a stronger, happier person. You are recollecting your past when you were young. Perhaps going to a childhood familiar place will help you gain clarity in a situation or maybe you should call your mom and talk things out with her.
