Default insane dream/nightmare

In my dreams for a long time now there has been a little boy trapped inside of my old elementary school and whenever im there in my dreams, I try to get him out but ive never been able to, however last night in my dream my girlfriend was with me in the school and together we managed to get the boy out.
When we got out we were at some sort of a zoo exhibit, there was a massive lion, (it was as if someone had stretched out its body making it about thirty feet longer) and the lion's fur was a very dark blue colour, the lion told me to take the boy back to "the place he belongs", the boy began to cry so I said no, after that the lion chased us through all these bizzare places that I dont think i've ever seen before and I felt like I was lost but the little boy seemed to know where he was going.
In the end we had got onto a train and the lion was chasing just behind us and it climbed into the train and ripped the train apart then ate me, the little boy and my girlfriend....

What exactly does this dream mean? its the first dream ive had in a long time thats been so clear and real.

Hi,
A boy is a symbol for a sorrow or an illness.
A basement means a sorrow too.
A train means a work place.

If one dreamt was fighting a lion means he will fight and argue with an enemy or rival and the one who was the winner ( lion or him) will overcome. If dreamt a lion was chasing him but couldn't reach him means he will have a fear by the governor. If dreamt he was running away a lion and the lion didn't chase him means he will be safe from a fear.If dreamt he was eating some lion meat means the governor will gift him something. If dreamt he had sex with a lion means he will have abjectness from the governor. If dreamt the governor gave him a lion means he will be a governor too.If dreamt he was riding a lion means he will receive some dignity and rank.If dreamt he was milking a she-lion means he will be a secretary. If a woman dreamt she was milking a lion means she will be a nana for the governor's baby.If dreamt he was carrying a lion on his back means he will overcome the enemy. If dreamt the lion bit him means the enemy will hurt him.If dreamt he hugged a lion means he will be a player for the governor. If dreamt he was eating food with a lion means he will receive money from a governor.Lion may also mean :1- a king 2- a brave man 3- a powerful enemy.

Well dreams refer to people in real life. Yet they do so in ways that are symbolic. Here the dream features a little boy. Who in real life is acting like a little boy? who is in need of teaching some basic lessons?

Quotes in dreams are filled with meaning. Thsi quote take the boy back to "the place he belongs" is filled with meaning. Perhaps the lion refers to a harsh type of reaction towards someone. That they need to be taught a lesson. Yet you perhaps want to show someone more humility.

How do any of these themes seem to tap into real life right now? Look for any loose connection then try to build up a meaning to the symbols

-----------------------------
The father of modern dream interpretation is not Freud or Jung but rather Jon Winson. But he never made a single dream interpretation. Instead he conducted research into the mind and established that certain brainwaves (theta waves) only appear during the night time. During the day we store up all new experiences and feelings in short term memory. Then at night we start to work through what happened the previous day and we integrate these into long term memory blocks. Then finally we clear short term memory blocks ready to start the process again the next day. Its likely that any dreams we have are linked to these brain functions. The weird images and feelings once deciphered capture our own feelings and new insights into the world around us. So the dreams then will often link to specific events from the day before and to new ways in which our world has been reshaped. It may simply link to our paranoias and fantasies. If we are focused on something about to happen in the near future then the dreams may link to that. Each dream captures one specific feeling or thought process.

Sounds to me like the little boy is you and that you have some things that are unresolved about your childhood.
