Last night I had a rather uncomfortable dream.
I had decided for an unknown reason to drop out of college and join the Air Force. My parents, boyfriend and room mate were very supportive of me and were helping me to prepare. My room mate helped me dye my hair back to my natural color. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed that I was balding from the back, but only on one side. Horrified, I put my hair into a ponytail, which hid my missing hair. Not knowing what to do, I called my boyfriend who came to pick me up in a silver convertible (he drives a Civic in RL). I explained to him what had happened to my hair. He was concerned, but when I let my hair down, he couldn't see the missing patch. In fact, his hair disappeared in the same place mine had and every person that I met in the dream afterward was missing hair there too. We drove under an overpass and a beautiful white owl swooped down and caught a mouse. After driving a little further, we turned around and drove back through the area where we had seen the owl. This time we saw it but it was dead on the ground, its wings broken and its gut ripped out and its bare ribs poking through like an animal had eaten it. I was terribly saddened at its fate and my boyfriend tried to console me. When I returned home and told my parents about the owl, they laughed at me and made mean jokes. I grew even more sad and angry that they couldn't feel any sadness at the death of something so beautiful. I am puzzled. Any help from those out there? |

I am an owl lover, probably one of the few left. People fail to recognize that owls are part of the food chain just like mice. We used to have an owl in the tree but the orchards have all been developed, so they usually live pretty comfortably in a nearby cemetary. Owls are endangered species and I wish people knew that they are important to our ecosystem. To see the dead owl in your dream could represent some sadness you have about your future.
The air force issue is interesting. Maybe a friend you have has joined the military and is too busy to contact you. You may be seeking a new career in something you might otherwise dismiss like law enforcement or even as a firefighter...why not? The missing hair could represent some sort of loss that you and your friends and loved ones are suffering. Lord knows in this economy people are going broke...that is why I dropped some canned food off at the local food bank for the less fortunate. Maybe you could do some charity work to help people in need. That would probably really help you to recover from your sense of sadness. Helping others can really better your self-esteem and make you see how very fortunate you are. ![]() |

Hi,
Your hair means your money and dignity. If a hair loss may mean a money loss is on the way in two months. An owl means ( is interpreted) as a thief person. Hair for men means sorrow and for women means their money and their decoration. For military people long hair means some dignity. If a military person dreamt he shaved his hair means he will be deposed. If a governor dreamt his hair was long means his army will increase but for common people means sorrow. If one dreamt shaved his head means he will receive a benefit or will go to a pilgrimage. If dreamt his hair poured means his relatives will waist his money. If dreamt he combed his hair means he is expert and skillful in his job. If dreamt was shaving his privy parts with a blade means he will achieve his wish. If didn't shave means he is coward. If dreamt his chest was hairy and it is not so in real life means he will have debts. If dreamt he shaved his head means he will be safe from sorrows. If he has debts he will pay back his debts. If a poor person dreamt he shaved his head means he will get rich. If a woman dreamt shaved her head means her belief is faulty. Shaving head also means:1- pilgrimage 2- a travel 3- dignity 4- safety 5- happy life. Owl in the dream symbols means a thief , jealous criminal man.If dreamt was fighting with an owl means will fight with someone. If had an owl or someone gave him one means he will overcome a thief. If dreamt was eating owl flesh means will have money from a thief. If dreamt had a little owl means his steward or his page is a thief. __________________

Hi
Well we constantly judge ourselves. We set ourselves goals and see ourselves in certain ways. That image we hold of ourselves carries through into every aspect of our lives. For you college and joining the airforce is set as a goal. Its part of what makes you you. Dreams are about the very inside workings of our mind. So its a dream abput your very perception of yourself. You have maybe judged yourself for giving up in some minor way. There is aslo a major part played between you and your parents. they are not so upset by this. yet for you this owl is of major importance. It represents you. Its a hunter and its death represents a failure or fear of failure in some aspect of your life. For you this type of failure is unnacceptable. Succeeding is vastly important to you. In fact failure in any way is simply not acceptable. But aybe your parents or others do not feel the pain that you feel. ----------------------------- The father of modern dream interpretation is not Freud or Jung but rather Jon Winson. But he never made a single dream interpretation. Instead he conducted research into the mind and established that certain brainwaves (theta waves) only appear during the night time. During the day we store up all new experiences and feelings in short term memory. Then at night we start to work through what happened the previous day and we integrate these into long term memory blocks. Then finally we clear short term memory blocks ready to start the process again the next day. Its likely that any dreams we have are linked to these brain functions. The weird images and feelings once deciphered capture our own feelings and new insights into the world around us. So the dreams then will often link to specific events from the day before and to new ways in which our world has been reshaped. It may simply link to our paranoias and fantasies. If we are focused on something about to happen in the near future then the dreams may link to that. Each dream captures one specific feeling or thought process.
