Recurring dream: I am about to be married. I get to the church. There is another bride there and the 'love of my life' is going to marry someone else. I am in a wedding dress and humiliated. The minister is a doctor I used to date (in real life); I ask him about why he is acting as a minister since he doesn't believe in the church. He says, 'I am conflicted." He wants to introduce me to his wife but also wants to sleep with me. I try to run away from the church as the bride, groom and all the bride's maids fill the church, but no matter what exit I take, I keep coming back to where the wedding is taking place.
I finally get loose from the church merry-go-round but I am crying and heartbroken. Peopel try and comfort me. People I do know in real life. Then, one of the young men in the band makes an advance toward me; I do not accept because he is so young. Then, I run into people I know who went to the wedding knowing I was going to be left at the altar. I see the bride's ring and it is a perfect Tiffany setting; genuine. My ring is huge but not the kind of ring a man gives a woman he wants to marry. I wonder how I missed that before. Finally, I try and get home but I am lost. I try and call my best friend and tell her what has happened but can't remember her number. I try and use my answering machine but it is not working and besides no one calls it. Finally, I do find someone who will drive me home. When I wake up I am so sad; it is as if I have actually gone through this experience. The sadness lasts most of the day. Note: I am married: newly, and happily. I am not seeking another wedding or marriage. All the people in the dream have existed in my life at one point or another. |

Hi,
Being humiliated is interpreted that you will receive some dignity and esteem. If one dreamt was lost, means he /she will remain obscure and little known and no-one will appreciate him/her. If dreamt his wife or his child was lost means he will have a loss. If dreamt his property was lost , if it was a good thing means a sorrow is one the way but if it was a bad thing means his affairs will arrange.

Quote:
The reason for the dream is that you are too happy and contented. You need a shocking dream like this to wake you in the morning. You need a bit of sadness to counteract your happiness!. Cheers Wolfjk

Are you nursing a broken heart from someone in your past, before you married? Chances are that man, that got away, is involved with someone else. As hard as you try to be back in the past, you must go on and try to let this go.
Maybe you are feeling very fortunate to be married, but feeling like you aren't the same person you were during the ceremony. Or, better yet, did something change after you shared I DOs? It is like you are resenting the two you's. There is the you that married him and the new you after all these years that feels like you aren't be treated the same. Do you miss the romance and the honeymoon? Is it possible that you feel sad because the relationship will never be new like it was. There is also a sense of nostalgia as if you are looking back at what was. If you are happily married, then try and enjoy yourself and realize how lucky you are! |
