its a recurring dream, but the scenarios are always different. Sometimes I go to businesses or homes nearby to use their phone to call, but the end result is the same, the call doesn't go through, I get a busy signal, put on hold or best yet, I get the menu to choose from.
What does this mean? Its bugging me. Thanks |

so much detail is needed in order to precisely apply to get specific meaning but the big picture is pretty straight forward. You are likely one who tends to over react or ask for emergency help from others too often or when a preplaning would have alleviated the need for help. This type of dream intentionally shows a non response....the inferrence is that you have the capability to survive...or even to thrive on your own power.

since I tend to be disappointed by people not helping when asked. Laid back is how people would describe me, I tend to stay calm in situations and I plan ahead well. The last dream I had with the 911 problem someone busted our my windshield.

Again, more specifics would help, but from the sounds of it, it seems as though the dream is trying to tell you something about your relationships with people around you?
What are communication issues like concerning people close to you? I'd also consider the varying locations in the dream as maybe having something to do with those people, also. |

I had a dream about trying to contact 911 once, because a man was yelling at me and wouldn't let me call, similar to an experience with a college roommie and her boyfriend in college. The background is that her fiance was really mad at me and I said I was going to call the police and he said, "They won't do anything...I know all the cops". I managed to escape and hurried to class. Fortunately, the situation seemed to calm down. I guess I had the dream a couple of years later because the whole thing shook me up.
I think your recurrent dream is a wake-up that you are sensing an emergency or trying to communicate needing help to others and they are ignoring you. The idea that a 911 call is on hold shows that you are not getting the assistance you need in a situation and your cries for help are going unanswered. My opinion is that you are having trouble trusting that people are looking out for you, particularly authority figures. You are also feeling that there are so many cries for help out there that yours are being "put on hold". If you are from a large family, perhaps as a child you were neglected or denied attention that you needed. Sometimes when a parent has a lot of mouths to feed, he or she just puts off giving attention to kids because there is too much to do like to work to support the family. I can relate because I was seriously neglected by my dad as a kid. I have since forgiven him because we were a big family and he did the best he could under the circumstances. If you could make the peace with someone that rejected you or denied you the assistance you needed, you might be able to quit having nightmares about it. Good luck and thanks for sharing. ![]() |
